Review #9: This cigar needs time in the humidor to open up. It is an acquired taste. The Juan Lopez Selection No.2 is pure and easy, without bells and whistles; it charms with its straightforward nature. Like blue jeans and a white t-shirt, it is unassuming, yet reay to wear in times of ease. I was unmoved at first, but now I find myself reaching for it in my humidor among other excellent choices. Smooth, medium-bodied, sweet wood are descriptors that befit this cigar. Do not look to this cigars to take you on an escapade, look to this cigar to end a relaxing event. - Submitted by HTC on September 6, 2004

Review #8: I found this cigar to be somewhat boring, no real significant flavor changes, more of a steady build up. The construction was fair; however I found the draw to be tighter than my preference. The flavors were seemingly muted, mine was 3 years old, earthy at the start and then moving into a more peppery leathery smoke, and that was all. A little too straight forward for my tastes with nothing to overly peak my interest, maybe just not my style of smoke. - Submitted by Newt on September 1, 2004

Review #7: AXC JUL 03. Very smooth, enjoyable cigar. Gobs of earthy, toasted cedar, with hints of leather. Absent are the harsh, tannic tones. Beautiful presentation with cedary pre-light aroma. Construction feels solid, but the draw is perfect....kudos to the roller. - Submitted by olateone....never early. on July 16, 2004

Review #6: Box date MAR03. I absolutely love this cigar and consider it an incredible bargain. I've smoked about 8 out of the box so far, construction and burn on all of them has been excellent. Delivers big mouthfuls of rich, meaty smoke with plenty of complex flavors. I can honestly say I enjoy this more than the Cohiba Robustos I've smoked, I'd group this one with the Robaina Famosos and Partagas SD4 as my favorite robustos. Hard to beat for the price! - Submitted by tomhowzer on April 2, 2004

Review #5: It's a robusto that speak of old cuban tradition, it's a severe cigar, well burning but don't leave nothing to the imagination. - Submitted by Don Pablo specialist habanero on April 2, 2004
