Review #24: A good cigar. Fine size, well flavoured, little aftertaste. Excellently priced. - Submitted by Barry McWilliams on November 16, 2004
Review #23: Very little consistency. Some are a pleasure to smoke, if somewhat robust, some are unpleasant. Once aged they do improve overall, but any number of similarly priced machine made Dominican, Nicaraguan or Honduran cigars beat it in my books. As do the Guantanamera and Quintero equivalents from Cuba. - Submitted by skatellite on November 13, 2004
Review #22: Just eat a wonderful Mexican dinner (thanks to kitchen). After this meal our cigarmaster opened board box? of five! Asked are they in good conditions? He said in Cuba these are very famous after dinner and so..Well, after lighting I forgot my best honduran ones..
This was so fresh, a lot of cuban taste and aromas you can find in the forgotten island! We dont need the embargo anymore!! - Submitted by newcomer on November 2, 2004
Review #21: I agree with review 15. Occasional cigars are a chore to get thru. due to their being packed too tight.
All in all though an inexpensive smoke that does the job well! - Submitted by Big Jules- Laos on October 20, 2004
Review #20: Smoked a few of these and must say it is a "budget" cigar completely capable of competing with the more expensive brands, at a fraction of the cost. My London tobacconist told me this morning that this is not surprising since the short filler used in the JLP line comes from the offcuttings from the Partagas, Montecristo and Cohiba factories. So if it tastes somewhat like a Partagas, you know why !. - Submitted by Amjid on October 20, 2004
