Review #154: ---   This is my first review here. I must admit that this website is awesome. I use it as a reference for buying my cigars. Everyone raved about Hoyo Petit Robusto. I wanted to know what the deal is. I bought 2 of them from a 3 pack. When i got them, they looked pretty ugly, veiny and like an 80 year old cigar. I smoked one of them after 3 weeks in the humidor. It tasted so spicy and bitter. I didn't like it at all. The taste did not change much and too strong for my own taste. I would of given a 5.5 stars at the time. I went to my friend's birthday party and wanted to give him my 2nd Hoyo Petit Robusto since i didn't like the 1st one at all. But my mind told me otherwise, so i gave him a Montecristo #4 since i got 24 of them left. At his party, i smoked the Hoyo Petit Robusto thinking that after 6 months in the humidor might of changed the taste. Oh my goodness, it's the best one i've tried so far. Better than Cohiba Siglo IV, Montecristo #4, RyJ Short Churchill, etc. It was even better than the Partagas D4 i tried a couple of months ago. I drank some Corona beer all night and the taste was exquisite with it. Normally, i like Havana Club with it or some rum and coke. But Corona beer is the perfect match for this cigar. The flavor kept changing all the time. It was woody at first, then it changed to sweet chocolate, cocoa bean, cinnamon, almond, some spiciness. I give it a 10 which i normally don't do. That's saying much!!! Heck, i decided to write my first review since it's that good. - Submitted by agentdaffy007 on October 22, 2009

Review #153: ---   Tried one as a free sampler from one of my regular shops, and was pleasantly surprised. Very even burn and smooth draw, with a rich coffee aroma that improved the shorter the smoke got. Took longer than I expected to finish, good lunch break cigar. - Submitted by oldmanjohnson on October 16, 2009

- Submitted by jorjis on September 25, 2009

Review #151: NOV 08 Smoked the 3rd cigar of a 3-pack of Petit Robustos with a couple cups of strong Starbucks coffee in the morning. This last baby had been resting in the humidor for about 3 months and I found it hiding under some younger cigars. What a treat! The burn and draw were perfect. The chocolate notes blended with the coffee to create a taste of mocha in my mouth. Never experienced anything like it, and I will definitely order some more HdM Petit Robustos for future enjoyment. I will try to age the new ones for a longer period if I can hold out. Highly recommended vitola. - Submitted by Gary Price on September 9, 2009

Review #150: Got a single in a "Sampler" and it was a nice change from a couple of poor corona's I'd tried recently. The burn wasn't very even at all and it was a much longer smoke than I'd thought. The flavor improved about 1/3 in and it was quite refreshing. It was a great sunrise smoke and I hopefully will be getting a few more of these down the road. For such a short Robusto, it was surprisingly full. - Submitted by BCCZeus on August 21, 2009
