simply great better then the epicure 2 which I have as well in my humi. This one I smoked right out of the box and it was awesome nice floral notes mixed with spice and some vanilla. The only negative mark is that at the end it burns quite uneven and gets hot. But other then that its great. - Submitted by pique212 on March 12, 2007

i like the Hoyo epic 2 so i was told to try the petite here and my my wad a crazy short stick, the flovour and strength totally won me over as it was so much stronger then the epi 2, what a kick from a small bugger, will definitely get more. This is my second review on this cigar (see #50 for my first review) simply because it deserves more praise. I've gone through 2 boxes in '06 and the most recent box was aged 2 years and WOW!! Smooth, rich, creamy flavors that permeates every taste bud. Much more consistent in quality from stick to stick than most cuban brands. Dark and oily, with a bouqet-of-roses/chocolatey pre-lit scent. Great with a Macallan 12 or Lagavulin 16, or a robust hazelnut coffee. Gonna get me a couple more boxes real soon! - Submitted by D.C. To reviewer nr.71. Maybe it would be a thought to try the Hoyo Epicure Nr.1. That cigar is somewhat bigger but definitely in the range of the Partagas D Nr.4 and the R&J Short Churchill's. I bought the Cohiba, Hoyo and Partagas Robusto's at Hajenius in Amsterdam, just to compare and maybe the Epicure Nr1 will surprise you. If I had to say anything I'd try the Cohiba first, Partagas second and last but not least the Hoyo. You'll find that that is going from robust to mild. Let us know what you find. Review #71:

This is an amazing cigar. I smoked one from an '05 production box while BBQing. Nice short smoke, but full of flavor and spice. Milder than a PSD4 and stronger than the R&J Short Churchill, this is one of my favorites. If I had to pick just one short smoke, this would be it. I have yet to try any other vitola from Hoyo, but if this is any indication of the brand, I'll be venturing into this marca more. - Submitted by jcwbnimble on January 25, 2007
