Review #115: These are unusual with their fantasticly fragrant tropical fruit and floral aromas, plus there's some nutty, earthy and mild peppery spice flavours in the second 1/2. However, I've had a number of burn/draw issues with these (even over a range of RH points) which make for a frustrating experience. When burn and draw are good, these are fantastic. - Submitted by benr on March 26, 2008

Review #114: IF i MAY, I WOULD LOVE TO JUMP INTO THE FREY RE: THIS PATICULAR ROBUSTO AND SAY THAT I CERTAINLY ECHO THE SENTIMENTS OF REVIEWER #113. THIS IS TRULY A NUB SMOKER!! THE ENCYCLOPEDIC QUALITIES REFLECTED BY ANOTHER REVIEWER('TRUST ME ENCYCLOPEDIC IS COOL** )IN REVIEW #111 CAUSED ME TO CARFULLY CONSIDER WHY MY THOUGHTS RUN ALONG SIMILAR LINES BUT WITH THIS CAVEAT! GIVE A SOLID 3MOS. TO A YEAR FOR THE 07's & 08's. i SUPPOSE THAT MAY SOUND SOPHOMORIC TO THE INITIATED SO FORGIVE ME. NON-THE LESS i HAVE BEEN SMOKING THE "TRUE" FOR ELEVEN YRS. AND HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR SINCE 05. i HAVE OCCATIONALLY PULLED ONE OUT OF THE BOX RARIN' & READY' YET YOUNG AND ALSO SO GREEN IT MADE ME GO ^%#^&*$#^%#$^!! PROBABLY MORE PEOPLE ARE ON THE EDMUNDO' VIBE OR THE SHORT CHURCH' BUT GIVEN SOME AGE THIS IS A STRIKING 'BUSTO'. i DO A BULLET CUT AND DRAW UNLIT TO GET THE SEMI-SWEET FIG HIT(DOES THAT DRAW IN THE OILS??). ALWAYS SEEMS TO LIGHT UP NICE WHEN I DO THAT . DEFINITLY CAROB OR CACAO, YOU KNOW THAT DUSTY BITTER SWEET CHOCOLATE QUALITY. SECOND HALF ASSUREDLY DARKER CREAM AND COFFEE NOTES. THEN COMES THAT HINT OF WHITE PEPPER PULLING THE CREAM INTO THE BACKGROUND ON THE FINAL QUARTER. ALWAYS VERY GOOD CONSTRUCTION AND CONSISTENT. hUMBLY i REmAIN ZEEBO THE POET...AKA - Submitted by zeebo on March 11, 2008

Review #113: I just got done smoking a Petit Robusto from a few I purchased and all I have to say is WOW. It had plenty of smooth creamy smoke, loads of flavor and great aroma. This is a great little cigar. Much stronger than I expected. I smoked it down to 1 finger in the freezing cold of North America! I am very impressed with this little flavorfull load of joy. This is the perfect cigar to smoke in the cold when you want a great tasty cigar but don't have much time. - Submitted by nnjlon2 on February 17, 2008

Review #112: Half way through a cabnet and, wow. Big punch for such a short cigar. Smokes even better than a robusto. - Submitted by Gil on February 10, 2008

Review #111: This is a nice looking cigar, thanks to the jolly size. It actually feels more like what a robusto should be like by idea than many actual robustos to me. A prelit taste revealed some pepper and hay, but more importantly an utterly perfect draw. It started off peppery, typical Cuban twang, with a nice velvety smoke. It remained strong at first, with some creamy aspects peeping around the corner. Slow and steady burn, but plumes of tasty smoke. The scent is great too: floral and perfume-like, like some RyJ's, but without cedar coming through. After a centimeter, it quieted down a bit and prepared for showing its true qualities. The creaminess of the smoke started taking the foreground, but unlike other cigars where I found it, this one wasn't thick but smooth and subtle. Slightly sweet tastes as in arabica coffee mingle with some undefinable perfume as they go over the tongue, the latter constantly prickling the nose as well so as to give your senses the best impression of the full package. As mentioned before, it reminds me of certain RyJ cigars with less prominent cedar. At this point I wouldn't call the little stick full-bodied, but definitely full-flavoured. After a full inch, some new aspects turned up. The perfume intensified, pressing the tongue a bit more. I've had similar experiences, but none quite the same as this. It was a very personal taste, the cigar eager to show you it has character. This evolution continued steadily, making the cigar sharper and a bit fresher. A nice counterbalance to the early sweet, coffee taste. Strong ash too. Refused to come off. Over the half-way point, the cigar returns to its initial profile, only more intense. The scent has kicked up a notch. A flavour of cocoa appears. From here on the cigar prepared for a finish that was still some way off, choosing to evolve in this new direction. At this point, cigars with this character can easily develop unwanted flavours (becoming a bit too "grainy" or muddy), but this one parried it nicely. The turning point came at 45 minutes. Total smoking time clocked in at 55 minutes, very respectable for such a small cigar. This little stick is like a meddley of the things that are good about habanos. Typical Cuban flavours, very fragrant and a nice evolution that displays multiple aspects in three stages. I have little to complain about what's here. What I can hold against it, is that other habanos in this price category (it doesn't come that cheap) have showed me more complexity and personality. The burn was a bit off too, requiring mild corrections along the way. I'm willing to attribute that to the humidification in my "tupperdor", though, as the construction was top-notch. Overall a neat little habano that can only improve with age. No unpleasant surprises at all. Good to look at, this little buddy can hold its own in the company of a scotch. If you're in for something sweet, woody and coffee-like, here's a quick smoke that'll offer you all in a lovely package. - Submitted by Nekotaku on January 18, 2008
