Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto Review:
Mild and earthy beginning. Evolves progressively without beeing agressive. A
very pleasent cigar. Reminds us with the glory days of cuba (precastro small
cigars like Rey Del Mundo Royal Serie No.3 ) Althought we can feel the
ammonia of a freshly rolled cigar (july 04) the aromas developped are so
round and aromatic that we can almost forget that it's a young cigar. The
finish is outstanding. We cannot stop smoking the last part even if we had
to burn our fingers. A great cigar, will be even greater in a 3-6 months
time. One of the best new cigars of 2004, our favorite. It has nothing to do
with an Epicure No.2; We only hope that in the future Habanos will keep a
consistent blend of this small jewel. LA CAVA.

Review #77: An excellent cigar for sure. Really a must for your humidor. - Submitted by cc11870 on March 19, 2007
Review #76: This is my second review of this petit robusto. I ask my local store for this cigar and they found a box of jun04.
This cigar is one of the best cigars for me,but i also found many "bad" sticks within the same box. i dont know why this happens, but some of the sticks are so "acid",although the box is not so young(jun04) I have heard that this is common to hoyo line, you can find "great" cigars,as well as "bad" cigars.Anyone knows something about it? Anyway, when this cigar is on,it deserves easily "the five stars award".Gives me great mild tastes and a very beautiful chocolate aroma. A very relaxing smoke - Submitted by nikolaros on March 14, 2007
Review #75: simply great better then the epicure 2 which I have as well in my humi. This one I smoked right out of the box and it was awesome nice floral notes mixed with spice and some vanilla. The only negative mark is that at the end it burns quite uneven and gets hot. But other then that its great. - Submitted by pique212 on March 12, 2007
Review #74: i like the Hoyo epic 2 so i was told to try the petite here and my my wad a crazy short stick, the flovour and strength totally won me over as it was so much stronger then the epi 2, what a kick from a small bugger, will definitely get more. If u like the epicure 2, u'll love this one. - Submitted by snowdawgz on February 21, 2007
Review #73: This is my second review on this cigar (see #50 for my first review) simply because it deserves more praise. I've gone through 2 boxes in '06 and the most recent box was aged 2 years and WOW!! Smooth, rich, creamy flavors that permeates every taste bud. Much more consistent in quality from stick to stick than most cuban brands. Dark and oily, with a bouqet-of-roses/chocolatey pre-lit scent. Great with a Macallan 12 or Lagavulin 16, or a robust hazelnut coffee. Gonna get me a couple more boxes real soon! - Submitted by D.C. Park on February 13, 2007
