Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo du Roi Review:
This cigar may be for experts. With a medium tobacco taste, it is woody and creamy sweet, which is a peculiar combination. The minimum ageing recommended for this cigar is at least three years.

Review #8: I smoked one of these after a Cohiba Siglo II and the Hoyo du Roy (5years aged) could nearly catch up with the Siglo. - Submitted by Fidelito on September 21, 2007
Review #7: Not exactly what i expected for a habana, still, an enjoyable smoke. Medium in flavour, kept waiting for the bite but it never came. Was gifted this cigar, don't think I'd take the plunge towards a box. Personally for the price, there are better choices out there. - Submitted by scott3366 on January 5, 2007
Review #6: Smoke a 2002. Taste a lot like the du Prince only more floral. Very woody like all of the Le series. Medium strength, and body with a long finish. Box purchase. - Submitted by TimL on October 9, 2006
Review #5: Smoked one of these last weekend, but I still don’t know what to think of it. It’s clearly a cigar of great manufacture. It’s construction is very good, albeit a little tight on the draw. This tight draw combined with the small ring gauge makes it a cigar which needs to be smoked slowly, otherwise it will burn hot and ashy. It took me 1 hour and 25 minutes to finish this relatively small cigar, with only a couple of minor corrections with the torch. So regarding time for money, it’s a great cigar. The difficult part is it’s taste. It does have that Hoyo-woodiness, but it’s … well, different. I don’t think that this is ‘my cigar’, but I have to (and will) try another to make sure. - Submitted by Bolivar on May 17, 2005
Review #4: I have to agree with reviewer 2, recently brought a pack of five and had my first today, a nice spicy, slightly peppery smoke, a little difficult in the draw, but generally a well enjoyed smoke, I’m looking forward to the next four. - Submitted by Gramaglia on April 23, 2005
