Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo du Prince Review:
Almuerzos vitola is quite rare, and this is why this cigar is the only one with those characteristics. The medium tobacco taste is the main impression one can get because sweet and woody flavours are very subtle, anyway perfectly balanced as it happens with all Le Hoyos.

Review #18: Just aquired a 2000 box of these little beauties. They come in bundles 50. What an incredible smoke for its size. It smoked long and was full bodied like some of the larger ones. - Submitted by kenh on May 11, 2008
- Submitted by rafa on February 3, 2008
Review #16: Have now smoked a dozen or so from a cab of 50 from March of '99. It's a good thing I wasn't going to judge these interesting little cigars on their looks, as they won't win any beauty contests! But, I had read several reviews that had mentioned the same thing and I was a little prepared. Once you trim one, and take a few pre-light puffs, you'll know right away that looks aren't everything. Once lit, I was pleasantly surprised to find this somewhat strong, and a bit "harsh", but in the old havana way...not unpleasant at all. Nice mild floral notes soon gave way to a rich leather/grass taste that stayed during the majority of the cigar. The earth tones are nice as well. I was surprised, as well, to find a decent amount of depth to this smoke, especially when considering the 40 ring gauge. As for the size, I really liked it. I'm a big Petit Coronas fan, and the 5 1/8 X 40 size seemed to be just right for the blend. Obviously there are cabs from this vintage around, as I paid only 225.00 for 50 and obviously wasn't paying any "vintage" up charge. I would, however, think twice before getting any of these that were too much older, IMHO they seemed to be just right at almost 9 years, and I'm sure a cab from '04 or '05 would smoke great as well. I would recommend this stick to anyone who is a fan of a medium or so strength Petit Corona...not nearly the same as a Bolivar PC or Partagas Short, but then, I wasn't shopping for them either. - Submitted by dlctwice on January 8, 2008
Review #15: Working through a cab from 2003. These are a great mild/medium change up to the cigars I prefer. Great construction and flavors of herbal/nutty notes. Occassionally I'll get some honey notes that remind me of the Epicure #2. A good, but not amazing smoke. Great value for the money though. - Submitted by fabio on October 28, 2007
Review #14: Smoked one from OCT 04. Taste of dark coffee. A bit too harsh for my tastes. Kinda reminded me of a milder version of a Cohiba Siglo IV. If you like cigars with a darker flavour you'll love this one. - Submitted by cigar are good on September 27, 2007
