Review #7: These is indeed a fine habano, for those who like de HDM profile. The flavors of these beautifully constructed cigar, from a 2002, 50 count cabinet, where quite superior to other cigar's in these marca. The woody-leathery classical profile is sweetened and intensified a bit due to the thinner gauge, producing still huge volumes of smoke in every puff. The palate is rewarded with a very tasty last third, with lots of wood, ginger and cinammon, the puro never getting hot or harsh. Highly recommended. - Submitted by Estrella on January 10, 2005
Review #6: Like most Habanos, this one benefits greatly from careful aging. At a year or two from the production date, the flavor profile can be a bit rough hewn and the burn and draw may be a tad uneven. Recently smoked from a box dated 2000 (at about four years old), this is a very good cigar indeed. The burn and draw are absolutely perfect -- very ample smoke from start to finish despite the small ring gauge. The pre-light aroma is bittersweet chocolate and peat. Dark chocolate, leather and allspice dominate in the mouth. The cigar starts out rather unassuming but quickly builds to a reasonably powerful finish for a cigar of this size, with just the right amount of "bite." The rough edges have been smoothed out and the cigar has plenty of complexity. It's not in the same league as the Cohiba Siglo III, which is the winner in this format as far as I can tell, but it is definitely a very worthwhile cigar to have in your rotation. - Submitted by chambolle on August 17, 2004
Review #5: Truely an excellent smoke. Burn was good, smoke was plentiful and medium bodied. Construction is very nice. - Submitted by Carmine on June 23, 2004
Review #4: I am close, very close to saying the absolute best in the Hoyo line. I relished every last inch of this cigar. Perfect burn made it a true pleasure to smoke. The taste was incredible, strong yet not overpowering. Get this one, you will not be disappointed. - Submitted by WarriorPro on May 4, 2004
Review #3: Hoyo Gods are amazing. Unfortunately, after smoking one with pleasure, it fails to rise on the third day for another smoke. Therefore one should unroll the tombstone of the box and have another one immediately!! - Submitted by Doktor Raven on March 1, 2004
