Review #6: Like most everyone else said, this cigar has a fairly tight draw. After the 1/3 of it, it loosened up a considerable amount. I enjoyed its taste. I would recommend it, but the Montecristo Tubos is better and only a little more money. - Submitted by John on August 30, 2004
Review #5: The draw can be a little tight on these but otherwise they're a good smoke. Sweet smelling, light flavoured and very mild in the beginning but also a little sharp from time to time. Flavour builds till by the last third they're strong with deep earthy flavors. (Some might say harsh.) This is quite similar to the Epicure No2 but not as smooth and definitely a little hotter near the end. Not as good IMO as the Hoyo de Roi but I'd never say no to these instead. - Submitted by willisoften on June 29, 2004
Review #4: this particular cigar i smoked had a tight draw, and it only got worse up to the end. but it still scores a high one for me because despite the low smoke volume i got from it, it still delivered a rich, full flavor that i really loved. aroma was wonderful as well. i ended up smoking it up to the last inch. draw problems aside, Hoyos are one of the best cigars in my list. - Submitted by chrisboy on May 19, 2004
Review #3: Bought a box in Varadero in March 2004. They were made in March 2003, and even though they were stored in the big humidor at the government-run store, they were a bit dry when I opened the box. After 3-4 weeks in the humidor, they seemed to recover. I've smoked two since and they are quite good, although it takes about 10-15 minutes of smoking to get past into the good stuff. The start is a bit harsh, but the rest is very enjoyable. In my opinion, there is a clear difference in quality between this size and the Churchills I have smoked (Cohiba, R&J). - Submitted by xcskier on May 5, 2004
Review #2: I bought a box while in Barcelona. Very great smoke, from what I remember.
I suggest buying a box or just one a trying it out. You should not be dissapointed. - Submitted by chilli on October 16, 2003
