- Submitted by cipu on March 9, 2009

Review #30: AUG 01 Just received 2001 box and tried one immediately. Easily top three I have ever had. Fantastic taste from start to finish. Perfect burn entire hour and half it took to smoke. Smoked down to last inch and still smooth, and great flavor. Had an Upmann#2 yesterday (Mar.08 box), and the hoyo blows it away. The Upmann Mag46, & Cohiba SigloVI were my favorites- this Hoyo may beat them. 5STARS - Submitted by quint1356 on December 10, 2008

Review #29: --- 01 This was my 3rd from a batch of 2001 HDM Churchills. All 3 had issues. This one tasted really smooth and woody but I had to relight it so many time I lost count. The draw was good, then bad, then good and bad. No consistency. I just think this was a bad batch because the HDM dbl coronas and Epiquires I have are very good. I did hear 2001 was a bad year for cuban cigars. All in all tasty but had issues. - Submitted by nnjlon2 on October 10, 2008

Review #28: MAY 07 Overall, I was really displeased with this cigar. The constuction was really nice and burn was even, but the flavor was mostly flat and dull. Cedar, sweet and salty notes emerged at times, but by the end of the cigar I wished that I had pulled anything else out of my humidor. I'm hoping a couple more years will improve these. - Submitted by matthew261 on September 20, 2008

Review #27: MAY 07 I thought I'd post an update to my prior review, as the Hoyo Churchill that I smoked tonight was a 10/10. Rich, strong flavors predominantly reminiscent of mocha. Paired it with a strong cup of iced coffee which probably helped it along, but would go equally well I think with a good scotch. Superb and getting better each time I smoke one. - Submitted by Goldenberg on July 21, 2008
