Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 1 Review:
This cigar has a similar strength than Doble Coronas. A background of sophisticated herbal flavours is perfectly combined with a woody taste that makes this smoke quite special. The only thin we could say about this cigar which is not good is that it lacks that ageing potential some others have, but on the other hand, when just three years old, it is one of the best of that age.

Review #30: Smoked one this evening. I really enjoied this cigar, its shape was perfect, its smell was sweet and penetrating. Its smoke was silky, sweet, with hints of herbal flavours, honey and exotic fruits. It was not strong but really tasty and I particularly appreciated its aftertaste, which I'm still appreciating in my mouth.
The only problem was a little bit of tunnellisation, but nothing too serious. The price was correct in my opinion (9,50 Euros). A good cigar, with fantastic taste and personality. Never aggressive. Always elegant. I'm happy I smoked it and will smoke another next saturday.

Review #29: Being a big fan of "powerhouse cigars" such as Bolivar, Ramon Allones, Partagas, etc. I was a tad leery of this Hoyo. Boy was I mistaken! A real flavor-packed delight! These were from '06. Terrific--what can I say! - Submitted by Shooter on May 2, 2007

Review #26: This is my all-time favorite cigar- favorite size and brand. This cigar is not full-bodied, I consider it to be medium-bodied. The cigar is very smooth and rich. This should be the first corona gorda that you should try if you haven't already. Enjoy. - Submitted by Epicure_1 on February 16, 2007
