Review #40: Box Code ROA JUN 06.I have smoked a few right out of the box and find the Upmann to be a good stick but not great!Exellent construction and burn but found the taste not very complex and one dimensional! Just not in the same arena with the Parti#2 or the Monte#2. maybe they need more time in the humi! Will get back in 6 mos or so!Happy smoking gang. - Submitted by ami61154 on June 8, 2007

Review #39: Smoked the first from a box dated June 2006. The prelit aroma was a mixture of earthiness and cocoa, somewhat reminiscent of my tour through the Hershey's chocolate factory. It was pretty mild through 2/3 and less complex than I though it would be, then built strength during the final third. Seemed to have traces of ammonia and I will let these sit for awhile before smoking more. The burn was even, never required correction. - Submitted by gregglantos on May 19, 2007

Review #38: What a great cigar! I bought this on the recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. Very nice flavours and aromas. The only downside was the appearance. The wrapper was very "veiney" and rough. This did not take anything away from the cigar. I just prefer cigars with a visually appealing wrapper. Also, the band looks too much like the Montecristo band. My understanding is that the bands have already been changed. The construction was flawless, the burn was perfect, and the draw was good. I will definitely be adding a box of these to my collection and recommending it to others as well. - Submitted by cookj1 on May 17, 2007

Review #37: I bought one of these as suggested by my local cigar shoppe, and I gotta say that this is one of the finest smokes I've ever had. Quite enjoyable indeed. - Submitted by Tender Bones on May 15, 2007

Review #36: Smoked one of these from early '05 last night. A real powerhouse!! I loved the Upmann earthiness! What a concentration of everything that is great about Upmann in this format. But I know from past experience that this stick needs time for all of its flavor and power to come together in a way where it all can be really appreciated. You have to leat this one sit a bit. But, with a little time it is very very enjoyable. Dark earth and wood, and a little dimension of espresso and cream. I can't wait to try one next year. - Submitted by Jimbo on March 26, 2007
