H. Upmann Sir Winston Review:
Same taste as H. Upmann Monarcas. This is a cigar of exceptional quality. As it is from H. Upmann, the tobacco taste is strong and the materials used are first class. That strong tobacco taste is greatly balanced with herbal flavours. As time passes by, this cigar gets better and better.

Review #33: This is a very impressive cigar. Does this cigar match up among the other great Cubans? Yes. This is a two hour smoke that will impress you from start to finish. The draw and construction are flawless. I never had to struggle with this cigar. ...just sit back and enjoy those great H.Upmann flavours. It is all H.Upmann and they are great. - Submitted by cookj1 on September 10, 2007
Review #32: I totally agree with Review #30 that a) I cannot believe that Monarca and Sir Winston are identical and b) Sir Winston is the absolute and utmost best cigar that I have personally come across in the last years. I do also like very much the Magnum 46 and those EL 2005 (Magnum 50) that I dared to already smoke. But the Sir Winston is just outshining the others - still maybe. Deep dark smooth earthiness, leather, nearly no hint of sweetness until the last third of the cigar. The development of the cigar is amazing during the three thirds. - Submitted by AR71 on August 27, 2007
Review #31: smoked one from a box of 01 and I must say it is one of the best old school churchill (the other is a RJ churchill 98). The first 1/3 gave me bitter coffee and dark chocolate. The cigar settle down with tasty leather and spice. A strong cigar with heavy body smoke but it never over power my palate unlike some other strong cigar. Not a cigar for beginner as it may scare them from taking up cigar smoking - Submitted by pak on July 14, 2007
Review #30: I just want to add my two cents worth(?) re what I sometimes have read about the 'sameness' of the Sir Winston to the Monarcha. Unless after 20+ years of being a collector as well as student (albeit part-time...very, lol) I have become the victim of marketing, I can't believe the same blends, or close to it are being used in the Monarcha. To me, two entirely different tasting, burning and smelling cigars. There. I have two boxes of these from BVD-MAR-03. One is opened, for 3 months now, and 10-12 sticks. (Man, way too fast...but, it's hard.) This cigar is my favorite of all Churchills. ALL...no matter strength or brand. I do like a bit stronger cigar, but since this cigar outshines in all taste, nurn and construction categories, and the tastes are SO unbelievably defined...rich, elemental with enough 'basic flavorbases to satisfy even the most MPD's we have, lol BTW...This box code just was rated a sweet 92 in CA, and I never even asked for these, they just came...so I would ask. I've also found several with the same factory and year, May instead of MAR.
Please! if you like the real-deal old time Havana taste in one of the sexiest and classiest smokes out there, try these. They are about a 100US more than most Churchills, well worthit - Submitted by dlctwice on June 21, 2007
Review #29: Hola. Probably this is the best Churchill I smoked this year, from a box dated on Jun 02, dressed in colorado medio and very well rolled with very thin veins. Not dificult to light with very good draw.
Complex smoke from the first third, medium strength. Full of notes well described in previous reviews. I would add, 'the best classic Habano flavours are there'. One hour and ten minutes of pleasure. - Submitted by olisiponense on June 4, 2007
