H. Upmann Sir Winston Review:
Same taste as H. Upmann Monarcas. This is a cigar of exceptional quality. As it is from H. Upmann, the tobacco taste is strong and the materials used are first class. That strong tobacco taste is greatly balanced with herbal flavours. As time passes by, this cigar gets better and better.

Review #44: APR 04 From a box of April 04. My first one, after a few weeks in the humidor was nothing to shout about. My second one after 10 weeks or so was different story all together. A wonderful after dinner smoke. Fine draw, full body with plenty of woody flavour. One of the best churchill I've had this year. A great compliment to a 15 years old speydide malt, or is it the other way around ?!? - Submitted by worjor on May 17, 2008
- Submitted by eeq71 on March 7, 2008
Review #42: There is always a box of Sir Winston in my humidor nevertheless that this is not my favorite Churchill. They have one of the most beautiful varnished boxes, sometimes ruined by importers disgusting anti-smoking picture/stickers. But these are so delicious cigars that there is no picture in the whole world to spoil this pleasure. Wrapper on this one (TDV MAY 03) wasn’t the prettiest or the oiliest but smell was gentle, simply wonderful. Construction was firm and “cold draw” uncovered well matured tobacco with traces of spices and cedar wood. After lighting it up, I was immediately surrounded with tick smoke and even my non smoking friends noticed that “this is something different”. Mellow and refined aroma with pronounced creamy flavors was present the whole time. Cigar gradually built in strength but always stayed on her path - incredibly smooth and sophisticated. Even at the very end provided tons of soft creamy smoke, now with well defined cappuccino flavor. It’s always a treat when you have Sir Winston without drawing problems. I enjoyed it with nicely oaked Tuscan Chardonnay (Isole e Olena). - Submitted by Diademo on February 15, 2008
Review #41: Wonderful cigar: great character, perfect draw, plenty of aromas. Reading from the otehr reviews, probably mine wasn't properly aged, as it was rich in flavour but not very strong, at least until the third 'tercio', when it gained a powerful peppery taste and strenght. A perfect morning or mid-afternoon cigar, better accompanied to coffee or soft drinks. - Submitted by Alberto_Magnus on February 9, 2008
Review #40: This is the churchill that Havana churchills should aspire to be. Great complex flavors that are well balanced, of medium strength, with rich thick and chewy smoke. You detect flavors ranging from wood/nut/herbalness. In my opinion, its a much different smoke than the Monarch. The "tobacco" taste is much less prominent in the Sir Winston. This is a cigar for all occassions. - Submitted by fabio on October 28, 2007
