H. Upmann Monarchs Review:

Strong tobacco taste and subtle herbal flavours greatly balanced. Very mild and bland when young. If you have the patience, these cigars reveal their extraordinary taste after 20 years of ageing. The minimum ageing recommended is at least 3 years but, as said before, they get better every year. Strength 3/5.

Review #11: APR 00 A very nice cigar. Smooth, clean tobacco taste. But it is quite mild and does not develop much. No match for my 08 Mag 50s. - Submitted by Professor Twain on June 9, 2011

Review #10: MAY 01 I usually say I'm going to take my cigar for a walk but this cigar takes me for a walk. A very rich and creamy cigar with a lovely walnut taste. A glass of tawny port and some walnuts and your in heaven. - Submitted by Richard Rose on November 27, 2008

Review #9: APR 00 smoke one of this great cigar from a 00 box. the cigar is very well constructed and burn very well. The cigar is well packed as such it took long than i expect to finish smoking it. The smoke is very complex and full of favour. There are coffee, spices, and chocolate. In fact, i could have mistaken it for a sir winston but at a discounted price. Very good value cigar for the enjoyment that you gonna get from this cigar. - Submitted by pak on August 17, 2008

Review #8: --- 02 Perfect cigar! Very refined and extremely well-balanced smoke. Simply divine! Smoke this when you want to reassure yourself that an habano is unlike anything else. - Submitted by titobueno76 on August 4, 2008

Review #7: JUN 03 There are 2 reviews on this but mine is spelled with a "ch" so I'll use this one. I don't believe this is "machine-made" as described in the general description above though. I have tried both the boxed and the tubed versions and found that the tubed version, even at an later production of 03, seemed to be a lot milder. Both are sensational smokes with superb draw and dense creamy smoke, with soft spice and complex flavour. However, I would say Sir Winston stills pips this by a nose. - Submitted by worjor on July 25, 2008
