Review #16: Smoked one today. It was a Tubo from 1999. What a great cigar. So rich and earthy with that pleasent Upmann spice, just a dream to smoke!! - Submitted by La Gloria on July 29, 2006

Review #15: Just received a box of these Cuban stogies marked with Box Code SLA 2001. The aroma after opening the box was cedar with the hallmark Cuban tobacco spice. The wrappers are a deep brown leather hue. Construction is an elegant display of box pressed tobacco. I've heard that Cuban tobacco from the 2001 production year was a very good crop. Although they are not as young as an 05 box, I will still age these 2001 gems in my humidor for several months before firing up a couple. I'm looking forward to having a "puffing good time" with these enticing cigars. - Submitted by Kathleen on May 12, 2006

Review #14: I just order a box of these cigars and I'm excited about trying them in a couple of months. So far the H. Upmans that I've tried (#2 and Mag 46) have great aging qualities. They get better and better overtime. What a treat. I can't wait to try these after aging them in the near future. - Submitted by Kathleen on May 4, 2006

Review #13: JUST RECIEVED 5 MORE DRESSED BOXES FROM SLA JAN01 PRODUCTION RUNS, THE EVER SO ELUSIVE AND INTOXICATING MUSTY AROMA AND FLAVOR IS EVER PRESENT, THE SQUARE PRESSED SHAPE IS A TRUE SIGN OF PROPER AGING, AND THE BLOOM ON THE TOP LAYERS IS A SIGHT TO BEHOLD, I ALMOST CRIED WHEN I SEEN THIS. THE EVER SO ELUSIVE MUSTY FLAVOR AND SMELL GIVE THESE A TRUE SIGN OF A TRUE CUBAN MASTER PIECE. I HAVE SEVERAL BOXES OF THE CHURCHILLS IN STOCK, AND THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THESE MONARCAS. THE WRAPPERS ARE PERFECT, DARK ALMOST MADURO, THEY ARE STILL OILY EVEN AFTER 6 YEARS IN THE BOX, THEY ARE ROLLED AS TIGHT AS A BRICK, AND THE DRAW IS FLAWLESS. WHEN I SMOKE ONE OF THESE AT THE LOCAL PUB EVERY ONE ASKS, WHAT KIND OF CIGAR AM I SMOKING, THE FLAVORS AND AROMAS TURN EVERY ONES HEAD, AND NOSE. IF YOU CAN FIND ANY FROM SLA FACTORY FROM EARLY 2001 BUY ALL YOU CAN YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS ONE, YOU CAN SAVE A PRETTY PENNY BUYING THESE INSTEAD OF THE SIR WINSTONS, YOU CAN GET 3 BOXES OF THESE FOR THE COST OF 2 BOXES OF THE SIR WINSTONS. HAPPY HUNTING TO ALL, AND GOOD LUCK. - Submitted by BIGYESTA on March 29, 2006

Review #12: I'm on my THIRD box of these. Great smoke with full flavor and long lasting. I can light one up when I leave Indianapolis and it will last til Louisville! Box press makes these cigars ones you need to loosen up a bit by rolling between your fingers then let rest a few days in a good humidor. After about two weeks thogh they really show their stuff! - Submitted by jlcccm on March 21, 2006
