Review #68: ---   With the lenght and ring gauge that it has the Mag 50 is quite an imposing cigar in its appearance but it is also a controversial performer. Draw is fairly loose and the burn is not the best thus requiering constant touch ups. Strenght of the smoke is mild while the body is medium-full with a short finish. As a number of reviewers here I also experienced a promising blast of flavors in the begining that, as you continue smoking the cigar, slowly starts to diminish and loses its complexity by the begining of the second third ot the cigar. Although after lighting I got very pronounced, almost syrupy like texture, flavor of spice and cinnamon coupled with sweet cedar and some coffee notes that flavor base soon broke down leaving only a hint of leather and aforementioned coffee to appear in a mild bodied manner during the next 2 thirds of the smoke. Based on the flavors I can say that the Mag50 is comparable to an aged Corona Major wich is stronger and has a long lasting finish, and strenght wise reminescent of a Mag 46 that is not an overpowering cigar .Smoking time was, due to underfilling wich I find is more common in larger RG cigars, shorter than expected and the cigar lasted me 1h 40 min(normal time I take for Petit corona size). Based on my experience with H.Uppman Magnum 50 I simply can not justify a price point of 22 USD per stick. Taking everything into consideration this is an average and overpriced cigar IMO but can be a clear winner for "CA one third only type smoker".:) - Submitted by promajk on January 25, 2011

Review #67: DEC 08 I have just finished my last one from the box of tens that had been in the humidor more than a year. It is a lovely cigar to start with, then the 2nd third has lost most of the lovely things and the last third is the same. Had to re-light 8 times from half way through before I can finish it off. It may had a great review for the 2005 EL. But this non EL does not woth the time or money. - Submitted by am3388 on November 2, 2010

Review #66: DEC 08 Bought a box of tens in the beginning of the year. Just finished the last one. They all started very good for the 1st third. Then 2nd & 3rd third lost all wonderful tast and had to re-light 6-8 times befor I can finish oit off. Thought it will improve in my humidor, but it didn't. I will give up on this one and will try another from the H Upman raneg and hope for a better luck. - Submitted by am3388 on November 1, 2010

Review #65: JUL 08 Tried the one from a SLB. First third was good with sweet cedar and rich spice on the nose. Some discernible dried olive notes and light caramel hints with straightforward tobacco. Very fragrant and sweet smelling, rich thick and creamy smoke. Full flavoured in a medium bodied smoke, refined and smooth. Spice and flavours balance well. Long aftertaste of sweet cedar. However, the second third was dull and quite bland, where did all those lovely flavours go? The smoke became light in flavour though maintaining a medium bodied and rich mouthfeel. Only during the final third did the flavours of this cigar pickup a little adding toasty notes that seemed to have overwhelmed the delicate flavours before. Quite unremarkable and given its price, quite a disappointment. On reflection of its girth, there should have been more complexity. Burn was good but the construction was quite loose with quite noticeable veiny filler leaves used. This is more of a daytime smoke as it is touch light for after dinner. Overall, I would not recommend this stick. You would be better off with the Coronas Major. Even the Majestics would be better value. If you prefer a premium H. Upmann, try the Sir Winston. Points for excellent mouthfeel and richness of smoke but the value leaves much to be desired. - Submitted by sengjc on October 17, 2010

Review #64: ---   Not a complex smoke by any stretch of the imagination. Not bad but not great either and quite boring. Didn't really give a wide range of flavours compared with the fabulously floral-fest i experienced with a Partagas Lusitania a sampled a few weeks ago. Good construction, good amount of smoke but way too mild and monotonous for my liking. Not sure of the date as I purchased it as a single stick. - Submitted by Cohibanut on July 29, 2010
