Review #8: I think it will be unfair to judge this cigar by comparing it to the great Mag 50 EL 2005.The quality and aging of wrapper ,fillers are different. All in all it is a good cigar that simply needs more aging. - Submitted by rambo on November 16, 2008

Review #7: A nice, approachable cigar that builds to a strong finish. This is a good all-day smoke, delivers flavour and complexity that will appeal to connoisseurs without strength that would overwhelm a newbie. - Submitted by agraupe on November 15, 2008

Review #6: --- 08 From my point of view a dissapointing smoke. I own a cabinett of the EL 2005 which is a very good smoke - and this regular edition just can't live up to expectations created with the name. The wrapper is not only much lighter, but also is the taste and the quality. I had 3 of those now, each time hoping I detect some deep and rich flavours - it still carries the name H. Upmann - but only to be disappointed each time. It has gras-like flavour, but no richness. I would compare it to Hoyo de Monterrey, but without the sweetness a Hoyo (sometimes) has. Quality of the cigar did vary, although it burned OK each time. - Submitted by AR71 on November 15, 2008

Review #5: This photo is suspect, as the two wrappers says "Magnum 50" redundantly. the second band is more narrow than any in the 3 cabinets i own (all purchase from reliable and estimable licensed Habanos S.A. dealer (one LCDH). A very distant cousin to the superb 2005 Limited Edition. A pale brown wrapper replaces the foreboding Maduro of the 2005 LE. The blend is vaguely reminiscent, but without the rich, fruity flavors. Somewhat bland comparatively. Easier draw but less combustion. Spongier and milder. Some are ridiculously under-filled. Inconsistent production (and packaging, apparently) Also, $15 USD less per stick.Just bought a 10 cabinet of the 2008 "regular" release. A very distant cousin to the superb 2005 Limited Edition. A pale brown wrapper replaces the foreboding Maduro of the 2005 LE. The blend is reminiscent, but without the rich, fruity flavors. Somewhat bland comparatively. Easier draw but less combustion.
