--- 08 A friend gifted me 2 of these and tonight I lit the first. WOW!! I had to call him right away and say that it was one of the finest Upmann's I've ever smoked. I have them all--Sir Winston's, Mag 46, Conn 1, Monarchs, etc. THIS is a classic example of just how tasty finely-handled tobacco can be. Upmann's are an acquired taste; they're not "fruity" or "spicy" like many other brands of Habanos--rather, just simple, lovely "tobacco" flavors! There's a "toasty" nuttiness and sweetness that make you want to put it back to you lips soon after each puff. These are definitely a winner! - Submitted by Shooter on March 16, 2009

I'm shocked at the poor reviews this cigar has received on this board. I will admit that I have only smoked one Mag 50, last month, and found no problems with construction or draw. Not a fan of other H. Upmann blends, I was a little weary to try this smoke, but was pleasantly surprised. What great flavours and complexity! This is no one-trick pony, with a spicy woodsy flavour that melds with creamy, silky smoke. I thoroughly enjoyed this puro, and will again in the future. - Submitted by adam z on March 9, 2009

MAY 08 Construcciòn aceptable, tirando a mediocre con algunas irregularidades al tacto. Bonito cigarro a la vista , pero no tanto al tacto.Olor en frio: madera dulce con notas vegetales.1/3 - Primeras caladas cremosas y amaderadas. Posteriormente se añaden recuerdos a miel, cuero y caramelo. A veces un poco arido, sin sabores. Aroma no muy intenso que recuerda a cuero. Combustiòn irregular. Fortaleza media-baja. 2/3 - Empiezan a aparecer las tìpicas notas dulcemente amargas de la casa Upmann, sin mas matices y ademàs por poco tiempo. Pasa a predominar aroma a caramelo.3/3 - Sabor y aroma dulcemente caramelizado, con muy leves notas vegetales sin màs matices. Fortaleza media-baja hasta el final. Duraciòn algo mas de hora y media. No està mal, pero esperaba algo màs. Tengo otro en el humidor, creo que lo dejarè reposar una muy larga temporada, a ver que tal...
