Review #18: love them, great smoke, perfect size for enjoyable 1/2 hour experience. great flavor, a generous cloud of smoke with each puff. My only problem is deciding which I like better the upmann or the Monty #4 tough call, I will continue my sampling and report again - Submitted by ricardo on May 16, 2005

Review #16: I finished the box I had today, my favorite mareva is defenitely the Bolivar tubos no 2. The H Upmann, has excellent construction, very adequate draw, the overall taste is medium bodied, very manly. The 3 thirds can defenitely be defined, cocoa, cedar, earth, pepper. A very professionally crafted cigar for the smoker who wants a quick, before meal, or with Sunday morning coffee smoke - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on April 12, 2005
Review #15: Opened another box from my fathers stock from 1972 from a purchase in spain. What a classic, the wrappers are still oily and greasy even after 23 years in a humidor. I think that leaving them in the tubes has really provided the optimum enviroment for classic aging. The flavors of strong, very, very very, strong tobacco are the main ingredient, add to that freshly ground oily italian espresso beans, then strip a vanilla stock and add the beans, then drizzle cream soda and honey, then your half way there. The real unmistakable treat is the classic HUPMANN must smell, any one who has smoked a well aged UPMANN knows what i mean. You cant put a price tag on these cigars now way no how. My father was offered a thousand dollars USD for each box he has in his walkin humidor. i told him not to sell even if his life depends on it, he whole heartedly agreed as he took another weary puff and the room was filled with a unique aroma, that only an HUPMANN can produce. The other 9 boxes have not even been opened at this time, he agrees with me they will be a real treat for my sons when they are of smoking age.
THE SCORE IS A 100 NOT A 10 - Submitted by bigyesta on February 25, 2005
Review #14: This was not an enjoyable cigar. Upon touch, several tight spots were found, hardly an encouraging sign. Lighting it showed a few problems with plugged draw. It lacked flavor and was weak, yet harsh at the same time. Somewhat fortunately, it refused to burn at the midpoint and was then thrown out. Repeat - never again. - Submitted by Stacks Overflow on February 3, 2005
