H. Upmann Connoisseur No. 1 Review:

This cigar has two different faces. As it has been always underrated, it may have been because this special smoke needs years of ageing to develop its real qualities. Very mild and bland when new, but after a process of at least four years maturing, superb herbal flavours arise in great balance with medium tobacco taste.

Review #54: DEC 16 Start ist not so rich, mainly woody, leathery. Then came smooth creamy, nutty with some pepper and other tastes. Rich flavour and thick smoke in the finish. Medium to full flavour, medium in strenght. Good construction, draw. Cigars from 2017 start to be interesting only in the second half. They need time. I also had a box from 2011, but they were bitter and arcrid. Like unfermented tobacco, it was disappointing. - Submitted by kml on April 7, 2021

Review #53: NOV 18 A great cigar. Mild and easy, not much complexity but with plenty of delicious flavours of sweet spices, vanilla, wood, cream. Leaves a nice woody and sweet aroma. Can be smoked anytime but is great late in the morning on a clean palate. Had some uneven burn in a few, but could be because I smoked straight from the cabinet, without proper rotation or dry-boxing. - Submitted by titobueno76 on August 17, 2019

Review #52: ---   I have to say I was not impressed with this cigar, smoked 3 so far. Serious burn issues and having to relight 2 or 3 times. Harsh and unappealing flavor. I expected alot more from H Upmann! - Submitted by Gpayne on December 3, 2017

Review #51: ---   Box date Dec 15. They are still young but smoking well. Typical upmann flavours here. I will do my best to age them some more but to be honest I am a weak man... - Submitted by jumpfrog on April 26, 2017

Review #50: --- 08 Faint hay cedar & cuban tobacco aroma. Soft citrus, twang, metallic zing & spice; oaky, earth cold draw 1st- black coffee, leather, earth & citrus twang. Fair bit of spice on the finish. Excellent construction & performance. 2nd- vanilla cream, buttery cashew & nutmeg. Very good cigar, just not a huge fan of this profile. 1:05 Med - Submitted by Merovius on September 10, 2015
