Review #8: In my country (Romania), the Havana market is very narrow, so the cigars sold here are, usually, "greener" than they need to be. It's also, hard to find the most sought after cigars, such as MC #4, and the limited editions. So, the choice is rather random.
But my Fonseca no.1 wasn't so green I expected to be. It was, truly, a very good smoke, with a good draw and a firm ash. After the first puffs, its flavor was a bit disappointing: too toasty and smoky. Only after the first inch, the cigar exposed all of its qualities: the good balance, the spicy undertones, an excellent tobacco taste. Still, it's too smooth, according to my taste. I don't know, it's just something missing, a tiny drop of power, maybe... Excellent for a quiet afternoon, but not one of my favorites. - Submitted by Razvan Voncu on September 1, 2004

Review #5: An oddly sized cigar with good construction and even burn, though it started out uneven. The flavor was somewhat spicy, but lacked dimension overall, with a medium body. The draw was pretty good, but the aroma was a bit harsh on the nose and throat. While not a bad cigar, it was also not very note worthy either.
