Review #118: JUN 08 Probably rather say certainly the greatest short smoke of all packed with spice, pepper and earth very intense and rather strong cigar reminds me of old school habanos among legends this is one of them. Terrific ! - Submitted by DG on October 29, 2009

Review #117: JUL 07 Certainly a big stick in a little body, these are my go-to cigars for when I'm craving something spicy and powerful but have only a little time to enjoy. Consistent in construction, they often burn a little crookedly, but the draw is generally very good. I've had a couple of plugged ones out of the 3 cabs of 50 I've smoked so far, but no major complaints. Earthy and spicy, with great Partagas tobacco flavor and a long semi-sweet burnt cedar finish. I find them pretty harsh when young, but after a year or two they start to mellow out. I would like to age some, but I haven't been able to make any last more than a few years in the humi lol. These are in constant rotation for me. They can be finished in about 20-30 mins, but I can stretch one out to about 45 if I puff it slowly. Highly recommended! - Submitted by bimmian on September 16, 2009

Review #116: OCT 05 A great cigar in a miniature format. Excellent dry Partagas flavors. Some reviewers said that this is a 15 minutes smoke, which I find hard to believe. This cigar is so powerful that you have to be extra careful with the draw and pace yourself properly, as long as you want to be able to taste anything else in the next 24 hours. Recommended for experienced smokers only. A perfect 10 in this vitola. - Submitted by akinci13 on August 29, 2009

Review #115: Total Partagas profile and reminds me of the D4 but doesn't last as long. Loads of vanilla and herbal flavors. A real treasure for the price! - Submitted by jazzbass on July 14, 2009

Review #114: APR 08 I have just bought my third box of these babies. First of all, I have to say that I'm not usually a fan of Partagas cigars. For me they tend to be just too peppery and by the time you're half way through them they tend to be too hot and too strong. Ironically the exceptions are the Lucitania and the Short, two cigars at both ends of the vitola scale. The first time I smoked a Partagas short was a revelation. It had a beautiful, rich cocoa coloured wrapper and was perfectly constructed. Then came the smoke. I couldn't believe the volume of smoke it made - they put some robustos to shame. The flavours were all classic Cuba - cedar, cocoa, leather, pepper and cinammon. I try and find the ones withthe darkes wrappers. It may be psychological but they seem to produce the fullest flavoured smoke. My latest box is an 08. The cigars are not as dark as the previous and they seem a little less rich, althoughexperience has shown that they'll fill out a bit with about a year in the humidor. If you ever want a 'proper' smoke from a small cigar you simply cannot go wrong with the Partagas Short - Submitted by Kieron McCann on June 10, 2009
