Review #64: Wow. I've never thought I could be so impressed by a short smoke. As reviewer #63 has just stressed, it's ready to be enjouyed right from the box, although being a new cigar. Taste is earthy-woody-leathery, with a hint of spices. Draw is OK, but it burns a little uneven in the 1st half (I presume it will improve after 5-6 months in my humi). Wonderful mid-day smoke, with a lot of character and a pleasant smell. - Submitted by Razvan Voncu on May 18, 2007

Review #63: I just had a Partagas Short from my box dated Jan. '07. These little sticks are very new, but let me tell you...this cigar is ready to smoke right away. What a great little cigar! I was so impressed. I can't imagine what a year or two of aging will do to these great cigars. This smokes like a big stick. Great big plumes of smoke. The flavours are amazing. There's a little spice but it's not overwhelming. It's actually very well balanced. The draw was perfect. When I cut the head it looked like the draw was going to be tight, but this definitely wasn't the case. This has been rolled to perfection. ...eagerly looking forward to smoking the remaining 24 cigars in this box. This was one of the best smokes I've had in the last couple of weeks. If only it would have lasted longer...!!! - Submitted by cookj1 on May 3, 2007

Review #62: Box Code: ENE 06. Pre-light: loose draw, almost woody. very nice appearance. Upon lighting, the cigar started out of the gate in a somewhat harsh manner, almost a bit bitter. The first third yielded the traditional partagas pepper, leather and a little bit of burnt toast. However, these flavors were a bit overpowered by the constant bitter lingering flavor. In the second third of the cigar the spice stayed but the earthy leather taste seemed to yield to a bit deeper, almost sweet flavor. I want to call it black cherry, but I feel that is a bad characterization. Again, however, this lingering bitterness was determined to ruin my experience. I stuck with it, and was rewarded as the spice started to take a further hold on my palate in the final third. By this time the bitterness yielded a bit. I am a bit disappointed how this experience went, but I hope that a little age will remedy the situation. - Submitted by jakebarnes on May 1, 2007

- Submitted by Guillaume on April 30, 2007

Review #60: I am now testing a lot of small cigars, due to lack of time, and this one proves to be one of the best. Strong and full flavoured from the very first puff, it keeps the Partagas characteristics throughout the smoke: I agree with reviewer #58, it really looks like a small 8-9-8, dalia version. The evolution and complexity are pretty surprising for the size. Very good. - Submitted by sasha on April 18, 2007
