Review #10: The Connie No. 3 is a very unusual flavour profile for Partagas, in my opinion. It's extremely floral, aroma-wise and flavour wise. Strong marigold. This is offset by strong cedar notes and I'm not sure that this balances the cigar. I ended up enjoying the cigar for its differences but I'm not so sure this is a classic Habanos. It's a very elegant cigar and I enjoyed it this morning with a nice cup of coffee. Perfect burn and draw. This cigar did not lack for smoke. I will smoke other 8-9-8's before coming back to the Connaisseur No. 3. A nice change, however. - Submitted by cookj1 on November 17, 2008

Review #9: APR 07 This is a fantastic smoke. I like them in the morning with strong black coffee. Great Partagas flavors and aroma. Every time I smoke one, I want to buy another box. It's my favorite cigar at the moment. - Submitted by ducati98 on July 17, 2008

Review #8: Cigar looked good, lit well but cigar was plugged!!! NO smoke at all.... tried to massage it, even inserted a long match all the way through the body of the cigar, nothing could be done... Flavours seemed nice though... I have to scrore it low for this construction failure, but will definitely give this series another try some day - Submitted by Smokin' Phil on April 13, 2007

Review #7: At a nominal rating of 7, this cigar is absurdly under-rated. It has all of the virtues of its bigger brothers, in a petit package. With five or more years of box age, it shows sweet chocolate nuances, mixed with cinnamon spice. A real treat! - Submitted by shrink on April 2, 2007

Review #6: Just opened a box of OSU EO00 (09/99). Firstly, I have to say that these are the most beautiful cigars I have ever seen. I love the vitola, slender and just perfectly proportioned. A silky, deep brown and very oily wrapper - with a hint of bloom - that is a delight to roll between your fingers is the first thing I noticed. Secondly, there is the scent - sweet and floral. Smoking it was even better. An extremely creamy, sugary sweet smoke with nuts, cinnamon and a little flowers. The construction and draw was the best I have ever encountered in a cigar, Cuban or non-Cuban, with a shockingly slow burn - it took me a good 80 minutes to smoke. The ash was peculiar - totally black. I smoked it down to under a centimetre, and the finish was perfect, adding some pepper to the smoke. The only fault this cigar has, if any, is a slight lack of complexity. But I don't think it is that kind of cigar, just a lush and luxurious smoke that I will never forget. And I still have 23 left in my humidor. Don't know if newer production is as good as these obviously are, but if you can find a box with a few years on its back, buy it. - Submitted by Sortemand on March 23, 2007
