Review #10: Bought my first box of these (02's) at the Partagas factory boutique two years ago; smoked the first cigar that night, at the Tropicana. It lasted for the full two hour show, and added greatly to the marvelous experience. I've smoked a half dozen or so since, and they have been consistant. Rich and full-bodied, yet smooth as silk, with an aroma that is totally intoxicating. Classic old-time Partagas taste. Never a construction or draw problem. Share these with your best friends, or save for truly special moments. To experience them best, savor slowly, like a well-aged wine or cognac. A real masterpiece! - Submitted by MontrealRon on December 8, 2006

Review #9: Will let you know how another is when I go to the DR in a week - Submitted by habanohal on January 19, 2006

Review #8: I got in a a box split of a cab of 98s of these. If you can get a good 1 to draw you will agree that is the most flavorful cigar that Partagas makes. Superb for any time of day or night - Submitted by habanohal on January 11, 2006

Review #7: Simply extraordinary. Divine. I agree completely with Tampa1257, this cigar is classic Partagas at its finest. Traditional flavors, with sweet citrus and spice, it is so well balanced that the underlying power is masked until near the end. A wonderfully strong, spicy finale, with sweet wood notes. One of my favorite Partagas. Well deserving of the highest marks. - Submitted by shrink on June 7, 2005

Review #6: The du Connaisseur #1 presented a medium brown Colorado wrapper. The pre-light aroma was unmistakably earthy but also a rich tone of dark molasses sweetness. The rich earthiness and leather tones along with the sweet white peppery Partagas spiciness and large volumes of smoke and slight hints of cedar and almost a creamy spice and honey sweetness was intoxicating. The “Old World Partagas” spice made the balance of this cigar a treasure to enjoy. The rich tobacco flavors, building peppery spice with a subtle hint of lemon or citrus in the background along with the earthiness and rich leather is why it is called a Connaisseur. I found that by releasing the smoke through my nose brought the flavors to life. The du Connaisseur #1 was never harsh, but pure straight forward Partagas harmony. I tasted a hint of sea salt toward the finish. I loved the rich classical flavors. The complexity although subtle was deep and ever changing. This was a little over 1.5 hours of pure Habanos heaven. - Submitted by Tampa1257 on April 10, 2005
