Review #206: SEP 08 When i first lit one up i was very impressed and decided to buy a box and havent had a bad one yet, very complex and had a good burn to it. Cant wait for them to age - Submitted by justlust on May 19, 2008
Review #205: AUG 07 This cigar definitely needs some box time. The flavor profile is strong and consistent. Consistency is key with cubans. The burn is a little off, but then again I'm smoking it right out of the shipping crate. Good earthy cuban flavor profile with hints of spice. Thoroughly enjoying my Lagavulin 16 year single malt with this one. I'll be ordering many more boxes of these to tuck away, especially the 2007's. I have to agree with the lot of the comments that the EL was much better, but then again so are all the EL because they are aged a minimum of 2 years. - Submitted by camstersguy on May 15, 2008
Review #204: Got 5x3 this week, better than the last lot a few months ago these have a nice even size and colour. Draw is good, burn a little off, flavour strong but not as wonderful as I used to find them many years ago. They are missing something in the flavour profile I used to enjoy. No development like before pretty much same strong somke all the way. Before I used to find these had one of the most interesting and unique complexity available. I think they will improve a little with time. - Submitted by ian on May 14, 2008
Review #203: Review 201 and 202 I suggest you leave this beast in your humidor for at least 6 months before you even think of trying it. I remember when I first purchase my box from a FEB 2007, the taste was very grassy, after 6 months in the humidor I can already see the flavours mixing nicely. Give this baby a rest in your humidor and you will be surprised!
P.S yesterday two of them had plumes on them, and the wrapper is not very dark and oily, can't wait to try one this Weekend! - Submitted by maalouly on May 14, 2008
Review #202: Nice looking robusto. Although I´ve never enjoyed the look of the band. Great draw, nice burning. The taste is full of spiciness. There was also hint of diesel in it :D. After all not very complex cigar but it never dissapoints you. - Submitted by TonyMontana on May 13, 2008
