Review #7: I tried one from a 97 box. It's one of my best smoking experience. Well balanced, rich aromas, a perferct draw, smooth taste.
I understand why everybody say "it's a cuban classic" - Submitted by Simon on October 23, 2004
Review #6: First of all, this cigar looks gorgeous! But, as we don't smoke it for the way it looks, I must say that it also smokes great. The Partagas Coronas have a solid an consistent flavor, earthy notes, some peat undertones and, above all, the classic Cuban tobacco taste. Excellent contruction, too. So, a must have. - Submitted by Razvan Voncu on August 3, 2004
Review #5: Not much in the way of complexity with this one. Strong earthy tobacco flavours - a really solid smoke medium to full flavours and full bodied - the classic cigar. - Submitted by willisoften on May 15, 2004
Review #4: This vitola actually is available in a cabinet of 50 as well as the dress box of 25. I think it's far better in the cabinet -- I find the box pressed version typically does not draw as consistently and tastes a bit flat and matte. This review refers to the cab of 50 about five years after the production date. Beautiful silky colorado maduro wrapper, a moderately generous and consistent draw. Like all Partagas models,it packs quite a punch, and is dominated by earthy/peaty notes. Develops considerable complexity with time in the cabinet. Last third is rich and powerful for this size. - Submitted by chambolle on May 9, 2004
Review #3: A wonderful full-veined wrapper, well-packed filler and a decent cap - all before the smooth steady flavour that lasts beginning to end. Such consistency! A perfect companion for an afternoon gin. - Submitted by Barry McWilliams on January 26, 2004
