Partagas Coronas Senior Review:

I bought a box of thoses hand filled cigars for $45 in Cuba and I have not been disappointed. Great Partagas flavor, nice spicy draw, even burn and medium strength. Inside the good looking tubo, you can find a quality cigar for a good price. You can't go wrong with Partagas. (review by Simon)

- Submitted by cipu on June 9, 2009

Review #35: DEC 07 I brought a box a couple of weeks ago. I have had about 10 already, all but one being superb. The cigars are all well made, very minor occassional burn issues. the ash, being of a medium/dark grey colour, hold on for about an inch before it falls off. The wrapper has a nice marble look too it which I always love about partagas. The flavours are in the darker range, so a mixture of cocoa coffee and earth. A great cigar, I reccomend you all to try. - Submitted by antonius on March 17, 2009

Review #34: A very good value cigar. Excellent Partagas flavours. No mistaking the brand. The biggest criticism is that this cigar never develops into anything great. It is an above average value cigar, however, the lack of complexity is its weakness. No problems with the burn, draw, or combustion. With age you will detect the cedar from within the tubos. The cigar starts medium in flavour and stays medium in flavour. Beautiful aromas. - Submitted by cookj1 on March 7, 2009

Review #33: I was pleased with this cigar. The wrapper was more fine than any other cigar ive had in that price area, and was a nice colorado maduro colour. The cigar was firm to the touch but not too firm. The cigar lit nicely and the excellent flavour was brought out immediately, a coffee earthy cigar with a little spice. This flavour was present the whole way through, though a slight sulfuric taste was present towards the later stages of the cigar, somewhat dissapointing. Does anyone know if this could possibly be ammonia which still needs to go from aging? anyways...the cigar had an reasonably even burn, bringing a dark to medium grey ash. Tha draw was excellent until the end where I had major difficulties, along with it going out twice within 1 inch of the cigar. I think I may buy a box at some stage as I feel the only things bringing the cigar down could dissapear with age - Submitted by antonius on December 7, 2008

Review #32: JUL 06 Purchased 5 in the Red Divan, Hong Kong for the simple reason they were out of Millefleurs and I wanted a few Coronas for an after dinner smoke. Broke my own rules about not smoking tubos without letting them settle out of the tube. Soggy, flavorless, very tight draw and I have seen more voluminous smoke from the tailpipe of hybrid car. Decided to follow my own advice and after leaving them naked in the humidor for few weeks I tried another. No longer soggy but no change in the other attributes described above. Partagas be ashamed, be very ashamed. - Submitted by Syokoy on October 4, 2008
