Review #7:  I agree with SWS, without doubt one of the most complex cigars requiring a trained palate to appreciate fully. The transition in flavour down the length is astounding; mild honey sweetness floral aroma gives way to a richer nuttiness in the middle, with a fuller bodied cocoa/espresso finale rounding up the smoke. The impression made is one of immense aging potential, and many poor impressions seem to stem from the lack of experience of the smoker, or the inadequate maturation of the sample. - Submitted by The Privateer on August 9, 2005

Review #4: First impression, wow! Superb presentation in a 2 layer SLT, how unique! I picked up a couple from a Feb 01 box on recommendation of a friend who insisted that the Tainos is a “got to try this” cigar. Definitely felt something different as I pursed my lips on the head, match-lighting the cigar. The taste was exotic, flushed with creamy sweetness, and that was even before I struck the match. The first puffs however delivered disappointing blandness (I blame it on my taste buds being more accustomed to the full-bodied variety) but the potential of the cigar blossomed as I took my fifth/sixth draw. The taste while deceivingly mild (hence a novice could smoke the Tainos, but probably not appreciate it), is actually multi-faceted, much like the Choix Supreme, only more subtle; honey-toned with a hint of nuts and half way down the piece, added fruitiness (raspberries I think). I kind disagree with Gigi that the Tainos is an uncomplicated smoke. I think it would take a trained tongue to appreciate this hidden treasure. I find the Tainos is best smoked a couple of hours after dinner over a cup of cranberry infusion tea. Unorthodox indeed, but then again so is the Tainos. - Submitted by SWS on November 10, 2004
Review #3: As a 15 a day cigarette smoker i decided to quit the cigarettes and move on to cigars only, after a month of trying various cigars i found the erdm tainos a nice cool smoke that is not to demanding and as a novice cigar smoker enjoyed it very much. i would recommend this cigar to anyone who does not want to demanding or comlicated a smoke.highly enjoyable.
