Diplomaticos Diplomaticos No. 2 Review:

One of the most wanted Piramides. A medium to full-bodied cigar. Delicate aroma and coples flavours of wood and spice. Easy draw and even burn. A great example of 1st class piramides.

Review #120: JUN 17 I reached for the 12th cigar out of this box and smelled cinnamon and coffee. It’s said that this is the inferior cousin to the Montecristo #2. I think not. The Monte might be more smooth and elegant but this cigar is far more complex and intense. This review is a year later than my last review and the baked goods notes have been overtaken by coffee and spice. This cigar has increased in intensity. There was no sweetness to this cigar till the final third with a subtle mocha flavor. Gradually going from medium to full flavor. Just a fantastic stick if you can age them right! - Submitted by Gpayne on January 22, 2023

Review #119: JUN 17 11th cigar out of this box. The first half was good, the second half was amazing! What a difference a year has made for this cigar! So much more intense and complex. Baked goods, cedar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Hints of mocha, coffee and citrus. I just wonder when this cigar will hit its peak? Surely it couldn’t get much better than this! - Submitted by Gpayne on January 27, 2022

Review #118: SEP 18 Very good cigar. Started woody with leather. Some cocoa with nuts, roasted beans spice. Perfect construction and draw. Medium to full in taste, great flavour. Later will be better. - Submitted by kml on October 8, 2021

Review #117: --- 17 Another damn good N. 2 - with its own flavours of leather and dried nuts, in a 80 minutes long smoke, with just a bit of a tight draw. Also, a good quality-price ratio. This is a clear 9 - well done, Habanos. - Submitted by Heinrich on January 11, 2020

Review #116: FEB 19 Initial Light: Cocoa, chocolate, leather, creamy with medium-strong flavor with a good draw (surprisingly) as the pre-light draw was a bit tight. Impressive bellows of creamy smoke, not as creamy as a Trinidad, but way more smoke than a Monte #2. Smoking well, good medium to bold flavor, chocolate and earth flavors. Good overall cigar to have with friends, this is what I think of when I want classic Cuban flavor, consistent draw and burn is pleasant as my luck hasn't been good with very tight draws from other Cubans lately. Middle of the cigar introduces a bit of spice which blends well with the other flavors. Picked up flavors of cinnamon, pecans and a bit of honey. Very pleasant overall, well rolled, great flavors, strong dark brown wrapper that is not falling apart and is stronger than other more delicate Cuban wrappers you often see. Solid 8 out 10. With a a couple years of aging I can easily see this grow to the 9/10 range as the flavors settle and mature. I prefer this over Monte #2. - Submitted by smitte3 on July 20, 2019
