Davidoff No. 1 Review:

Bland and old cedar box taste. Strength 2/5.

Review #3: Recently smoked one of these from '81. The draw was a bit tight which did detract from the overall enjoyment of the cigar. Yet it was definately not without its merit. Complex flavor profile that continualy changed. Denoted honey, cream, hazelnut, light hints of espresso in the finish, even hardwood was present. As noted, there was somethng of a draw issue. Despite this it was a very enjoyable cigar due to the complexities offered in taste. Certainly an expensive cigar, and only the individual smoker can decide whether the experience is worthy of the asking price or not, but whe compard to other cigars of similar age, I believe this one stacks up nicely irrespective of cost. - Submitted by knuck42 on November 21, 2007

Review #2: I've had a few from '83 that were like the previous poster's, flat and without much flavor. However, the many I've had from '81 have excellent Davidoff flavor and elegance and are a true treat for any serious cigar smoker. Light and elegant flavors of cream and subtle tang give this unassuming smoke its reputation. A very good lunch time cigar and one that has a special place in my heart. - Submitted by XXX on February 1, 2007
