Review #20:

Consistantly difficult draw, fixable by using "draw poker" and some finger massage. After getting it to breathe, the flavor is unlike any other cigar I've ever tried: wonderful vanilla ice-cream with peanuts, cinnamon, nutmeg. I could almost cry when I have to let it go out at the very nub. If you can age this cigar or otherwise solve the draw problem, it is a perfect perfecto! - Submitted by cpubiz on September 16, 2006

Review #19:

I bought a box of DEC01 earlier in the year and thought I would just try something a little different. The shape is unusual, feeling a little rustic but the flavour was superb. A really pleasant mid strength cigar with lots of complexity. The first part is quite hard work but as you get into the fat part the flavours are released. Beautifully made and look interesting but they didn't look quite right in my humidor so I probably won't be reordering. Recommended for anyone. - Submitted by cjarman on August 7, 2006

Very good cigar with a nice even burn. I purchased a box of these 3 or 4 years ago and the wrapper was very dark. The wrapper on this new box was very light for a cuban. The flavour of the new box was lighter with more spice but still very good. - Submitted by jimcanada on March 9, 2006

This was my first Cuaba. I've had my eye on the Salamones for some time, and was excited to be gifted one of these as a "test-drive", if you will. I am careful about cutting figurados, and tend to cut as sparingly as possible. After a couple Dickman's, I settled into an even draw, and found it surprisingly medium-to-full bodied for such a small, mild-looking cigar, with a rich Cuban "twang" and solid notes of caramel, peach, almonds, rich tobacco, and dark rum. I couldn't imagine drinking bourbon with this subtly-nuanced smoke--a very rewarding 45 minutes. I am now certain the Salamone would be a spiritual experience. - Submitted by badsneakers on December 30, 2005

Enjoyable. Certainly a stronger cigar then the Churchill I tried the next day. I have read a lot of reviews on the Cuaba line and I must say that this could have had a lot of the flavours spoken of (coffee, ect) but I'm too novice to tell yet. It was harder then the Churchill to keep lit. Had to relite 3 times. The middle third was very enjoyable and the flavours were kicked up a notch during it. - Submitted by jharpcigar on December 27, 2005
