Review #89: This is a wonderfully balanced smoke. i have read many a comparision to the sublime, but have to say i feel this is better! Though i confess i only have a few notches on my Sublime and Siglo 6 belts, but having had a siglo VI tubos 2 days ago and a sublime about 2 weeks ago i found the siglo to have better burn with a more subtle taste. The pre-light aroma was so enticing i actually rushed through my dinner so i could get to it that much quicker! 1st third being lighter on the palette, 2nd developing nuances of vanilla, cedar and some caramel, with the last third developing strength with hints of cocoa and spice..... one thing constant in all 'thirds' is that you are always smiling!!! :) Thank heaven for its long finish. Altough they are pricey, a must try for all smokers! i can only rate a cigar a perfect ten if i have sampled the full range of the Cuban vitolario, which i havent ..... YET! Review #88: Of course this is a great cigar. It looks good, feels good, and smells great. Construction is brilliant and always consistent. Main tastes for me are sort of cedar, vanilla and red wine, with cedar being the most prominent. It starts off mild and a little tannic, then these flavours just build, getting richer and better all the time. clearly the tobacco is first rate. I think though you need to smoke this regularly to fully appreciate the taste and you do have to chug on it a lot to get decent amounts of smoke/taste. I have only smoked them at about 6 months old and no doubt they would taste better with a few years age, although the flavours would probably be less obvious by then and it would be too smooth for me. The problem for me is I like Bolivar as a brand for its rich no nonense unctious and satisfying flavour profile right from the start of most sticks, and so for me the first inch of this cigar is wasted, and I mean this in the nicest possible way! If you want a cigar that builds in flavour and is defenitely not one -dimensional then this would fit the bill. However as a cautionary tale if you only smoke them now and again say on a special ocaission then be prepared to be wanting a bit more if you prefer like me the more earthy blends. actually this offering from Cohiba would make a really nice companion cigar and IMHO does not make the best smoke after a hearty meal but more of a light supper, certainly not a nightcap, except for the last couple of inches. because of its large ring gauge and relatively loose bunching it does tend to be difficult to keep alight in the last third and yes I do keep them properly humidified. For pure intoxication go for the Sublimes! - Submitted by Sean Potter on March 8, 2006

Review #87: #85 New Cohiba Siglo VI The new Siglo VI, presented now in order to commemorate such a significant date, will subsequently pass into the usual range of Cohiba and will be available in different countries at the start of 2003. As such, it will have limited availability and the usual brand band. The new Cohiba Siglo VI comes in an exclusive format that will only exist in this Habanos brand. Its big format makes it possible to fully appreciate the aroma and taste of the Línea 1492 with complete intensity. With its Cohiba Siglo VI, Habanos S.A. continues to offer the most exclusive cigars in the world, made in order to satisfy the most demanding and select smokers: the Cohiba smokers - Submitted by jrubero on March 8, 2006

Review #86: To reviewer #85. I think you just got caught telling a lie. For a guy that claimes he has been smoking Cubans for a while to say he has Siglo VIs from 99 shows that you have have zero knowledge about about cigars. Before you lie next time check the facts on production dates. Siglo VIs came out in mis 2003. - Submitted by Esh on March 6, 2006

Review #85: I was running low on my VIs and reached to open a new box when I looked at the date code and realized the cigar was made in Nov, 1999. Could I have 6 year old VIs. Yes I did. I have been smoking cuban cigars for a while, I keep over 20 diferent cigars in my humidor. I thought the VIs were the best I ever had. I can not explain how good the 99 VIs where. When I opened the box it smelt like a fine wine, When lit it smelt and tasted like no other cigar I had ever smoked. It was like a fine cabernet in smoke form. That is the only way to explain it. The world has something to look forward to when the 03s get to be six years old. Possibly the first 100+ score - (from cigars-review.org: the launching of Siglo VI was by mid june 2003)Submitted by buybuilder on February 20, 2006
