Cohiba Siglo VI Review:

The new Siglo VI, presented now in order to commemorate such a significant date, will subsequently pass into the usual range of Cohiba and will be available in different countries at the start of 2003. As such, it will have limited availability and the usual brand band.
The new Cohiba Siglo VI comes in an exclusive format that will only exist in this Habanos brand. Its big format makes it possible to fully appreciate the aroma and taste of the LĂnea 1492 with complete intensity.
With its Cohiba Siglo VI, Habanos S.A. continues to offer the most exclusive cigars in the world, made in order to satisfy the most demanding and select smokers: the Cohiba smokers.

Review #187: OCT 08 Box of 10 - I always buy these in 10's as too much to invest in cab of 25 incase of bad batch. So far have been very please with these my last 3 or 4 boxes of 10 have been great, nice draw and good constructio, burn and flavour. Previously I had been unlucky and received one with too firm draw. I try to keep these as specials and am taking box on hols next week. - Submitted by ian on June 24, 2009

Review #186: JUN 06 Not a true lover of the brand but this stick CANNOT be ignored as being one of the finest cuban cigars i have ever smoked. Wonderful coffee, woody, tea notes throughout this impressive smoke...after some age this smoke really comes to life and i highly recommend at least 2 years if you can keep your hands off these gems - Submitted by sause2112 on May 22, 2009

Review #185: Nice construction, wrapper had unravelled a bit but still even burning, firm draw at the start, improved over the last 2/3. Aroma's of toast and cedar/tea. Lots of rich smoke, but not as impressive as I would have thought, better smokes out there for the price. - Submitted by oldmanjohnson on April 21, 2009

Review #184: This is by far my favorite stick!I've personally brought some back from Cuba myself more than once, and continue to do so.However, whether there brought home from Cuba or bought here at home from my supplier makes no difference.Always one hell of a smoke.Definetly reccomend letting them sit in the humi(easier said than done sometimes)for a full 3 months. If so,just unbelievable. Also, far more enjoyable if seasoned a bit moister than most others. - Submitted by billpatrick on April 13, 2009

Review #183: OCT 06 I've smoked a number of these over the last few years, although not as often as I would wish due to the hefty price - a shame. However it must be said that, although it may not be considered a worthy price, it is certainly a very fine cigar and a great example of what an expensive Havana can offer. I bought two boxes of three tubed Siglo VI last year to save for special occasions, and a good decision it was. Being encased in tubes means they age much slower than their Cabinet (SLB) counterparts, but they also benefit from this slower process. I hope, one day, to be able to smoke some of these having been aged maybe ten years or more in tubes, as they would be undoubtedly incredible. As they stand, with not yet three years on them, they are still delicious. Unlit they smell strongly of damp hay and tangy woods. Construction is flawless - perfect wrappers of a rich reddish-brown hue and bunched beautifully giving a clean draw with the right amount of resistance. Once lit these cigars are generous in smoke volume and masterful in flavour, driving smoothly through a spectrum of subtle undertones of sweet woods, honey, cocoa and, naturally, grassy and beany flavours on a backbone of smooth and tangy, well-fermented tobacco. The strength increases in the second half and moves towards full flavour/medium body without ever becoming overpowering. The longer these are matured, the further down the nub they smoke without becoming rough, and the more refined the flavours become. Price is not factored into this review, it is subjective on quality and flavour only. It is a waste to smoke these too young really, and they will only begin to display their true (5 star) glory after a decade, but until the vitola is that old I will continue to enjoy them occasionally and dream of their potential. - Submitted by A.
