Cohiba Siglo V Review:

This cigar was introduced in November 1992 and introduced to the international market in 1994, commemorating the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Columbus to the New World. The Siglo series are said to be milder than the rest of the models from the Cuban brand, tasting all them very similar, with mild creamy sweetness, medium bean flavours and also medium tobacco taste. 170mm of smoking pleasure.

Review #66: --- 10 This is a really good cigar, though a bit monoflavoured. No variations throughout the cigar, despite an 100 minutes duration. Also the draw was a bit tight. Overall, I would say it is a bit overpriced. Siglo IV and VI are way better imo. - Submitted by Heinrich on May 8, 2021

Review #65: JUN 18 Pre-light draw was tight (as expected) so I used my Perfect Draw cigar tool to open it up with a few (3) excavations through the head, which opened up the draw nicely. Once I lit the cigar it had a good draw with decent amounts of smoke for the size cigar. Note: I had bad draw problems previously with a Siglo-5. Initial Taste: earth, hay, charred wood and hints of pepper. Long ash built up nicely over an inch before falling to the ground perfectly intact. Middle Third: flavors of ammonia begin to mix in with everything else, not a very pleasant taste. Cigar needs years of aging before becoming enjoyable. The cigar is drawing well and burning evenly. Final Third: Had to relight it to get going. Same flavors, no real change or progression. Still a strong flavor of ammonia which sucks. Stopped smoking with 3 inches left. Not very enjoyable with this flavor profile, would not smoke again unless it's 4-5 years aged to give it a second chance. 6 out of 10 overall - Submitted by smitte3 on July 31, 2019

Review #64: JUN 18 Smoked one of these for the 4th of July from a 3-pack of tubes and was highly disappointed. The draw was very tight, the flavor was not typical Cohiba flavor, and the volume of smoke was minuscule. I love Cohiba's, but this stick was crap. I pray the other two tubes are better, but will age both some more to give them a fighter's chance. Surprised this cigar is rated so highly after running into the draw issues... better luck next time, 4 out of 10 rating. - Submitted by smitte3 on July 10, 2019
