I have always ssmoked Cuban cigars ever since I was introduced to cigar smoking in 1979. After years of different brands, I now smoke Cohiba Siglo IV cigars. Review #35:

Bought a box at the Plaza Americana in Varadero in December 2005. Paid 251.25 CUC which is about $13.22 CDN each. The funny thing was I didn't want to love the Cohiba's because they are soo expensive compared to most other Cubans. I smoked just about one of everything I could get my hands on and then I tried my first Siglo IV on the balcony with a cappucino and the ocean... I really do like the distinct Cohiba taste and smell. It really is a fine cigar. my notes at the time are as follows; "why do the most expensive cigars taste the best!? Very nice cigar, no harsh smoke, tasty yet mild" I rate it a 9 out of 10 except for the price. Just remember it is twice the price as some of the best Cubans ie: Partagas No.4 and Hoyo Petit Robusto, so if your on a budget smoke a few while in Cuba but invest in the cheaper but just as good above two. - Submitted by Monaco Mauler on October 19, 2006
