Review #43: I have just finished smoking this perfect little cigar during a short walk through the woods with my dogs. I have always been a fan of this type of vitola. Like the perla and the mareva, the short length and slim ring gauge make this a very manageable smoke and not as cumbersome and time consuming as some of the churchills and robustos that are becoming popular these days. Running my nose along the papery length and foot of the stick, the pre-light aroma seemed somewhat dull, perhaps with a pinch of spicy tobacco aroma. The color is fabulous, however: a gorgeous, deep, dark brown sheen. Upon lighting the stick, I was immediately overwhelmed with those classic beany-hay flavors that are so pleasingly predictable with a cohiba, along with a very pleasant undercurrent of mocha. As the cigar smoldered into its second third, the chocolaty-mocha flavors became progressively more well-rounded as a sumptuous cedar flavor worked its way in. The last third consisted of a very identifiable and consistent chocolate-mocha quality, along with cedar notes and a mature strength that could only come from aging the best cigar leaves in havana for five years. Overall, I'd have to give this cigar a 9/10 only due to its appearance, which was slightly rumpled and veiny. As for the smoking experience, this was an extremely satisfying, medium- to full-bodied smoke loaded with some very relaxing, comforting, and well rounded flavors off mocha, chocolate, coffee bean, and cedar which continued through to the last half inch (I totally burned my fingers). Also, this cigar had a beautiful draw and burned very evenly the whole way down. - Submitted by griff86 on June 16, 2009

Review #42: I have smoked two of these from different boxes over the space of two weeks. I find this to be quite an enjoyable 45 minute smoke. It is very consistent from start to finish and is great after lunch with an espresso. It does not burn perfectly and is slightly expensive for its size but nothing compared to the Genios or Magicos which I will never try purely out of principle. This is a medium to full bodied cigar. I personally have alot of trouble identifying the flavours. Many have mentioned dark chocolate. I find there is a slight chocolate after taste but do not see the "its like smoking a stick of dark chocolate" type comments mentioned elsewhere. I put this up to perhaps an underdevelopped palate on my part, can't find another explanation for this. Final judgement : probably one of the best cigars of its size for a short smoke, loses a star for uneven burn. - Submitted by mmikituk on March 28, 2009

Review #41: JUL 08 I thought this was a very tasty little cigar. It was packed with tobacco which made it last very long given it small size. It was very dark with a coffee taste that I found very pleasing. - Submitted by jimcanada on March 27, 2009

Review #39: As I am not a Cohiba fan, this little fella was offered to me after a business dinner. What a surprise!!!! This particular vitola features the impecable Trinidad. But this Secreto is almost as good as the King. It deserves attention. - Submitted by El Greco on February 26, 2009
