Review #31: NOV 08 2011 box Smoked only my second Panatela yesterday. I had had one about 7 years ago that was fantastic, and I had originally pegged it for a fake, as it was brought to me from Mexico. That cigar was as creamy, sweet, chocolatey and delicious as any full size cigar, more even. The 2011 cigar I had this week was strong, full bodied and rich, but NOT quite up to the standard. This is the finest hand-rolled panatela, but not by MUCH over the Punch Margarita, which I consider the better cigar on price alone. - Submitted by OLS on June 26, 2012

Review #30: I introduced this cigar to a friend at the VIP lounge at Partagas last month. He was shocked how good these are. While I prefer the Exquisitos for a similar format, the Panatelas are excellent. As one of the original Cohibas, you can always tell that this has been one of the benchmarks for Cohiba releases. Full bodied yet not overly heavy, this panetela offers great volumes of smoke. ...slight sweetness from the vanilla, very subtle cedar, grass, and that great combination of leather and coffee. There are a lot of flavours going on here and this really is quite a complex cigar if you take the time to smoke it and enjoy it. No issues with burn or draw, but you can always be turned off by that occasional bad one. For the price, there is no excuse for El Laguito to be rolling poor Panatelas. - Submitted by cookj1 on December 23, 2011

Review #29: Tried one of these a couple of weeks back, and I must say I was very impressed. The stick was sweet right from the start. The flavour was one of sweet cocoa and spice which remained consistent. The draw was surprisingly good for such a thin stick. My only complaint is thaat the experience was short lived - 10 minutes and it was over. I was expecting at least another five. The other problem was the price. £9 is stee. - Submitted by alfonso on April 11, 2011

Review #28: SEP 08 Despite the great Cohiba taste (when you can get a mouth full of smoke)I'm giving up on this one for now. The Panetela has more misses than hits when it comes to the draw; some so tight that you have no option but to throw it away. Unfortunately this flaw is becoming a little too common in a number of the Cohiba products and Cohiba will need to lift its game to the level of its prices before I'll be coming back to for this cigar. - Submitted by Geko on October 26, 2010

Review #27: ---   The Panetelas is a classic winter smoke if you have to stay outside and live in a cold place. The Cohiba taste is always among the best. The only "bad" thing about this cigar is that it's kind of pricey....but which Cohiba isn't? - Submitted by teosickrider on January 12, 2010
