Review #4: Smoked one last night, even after hearing many bad reviews. What was everyone talking about. This was a beautiful smoke, with a smooth, sweet taste. The smoke was rich, and the flavors constant throughout the smoke. Even the first puff was delicious, and down to the nub, this cigar was tremendous. It didnt tast like a young cigar, probaly because of the aged tobaco rolled inside of the dark, rich wrapper. A beautiful cigar in both taste and visual appeal. - Submitted by justinphilly on July 19, 2007
Review #3: I can't believe how smooth this maduro is. After great anticipation I picked up all three in the new Cohiba line. Last night I had my first: the Genios. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth this cigar was. It has an excellent balance. Light aromas. Light-medium flavours. Incredibly oily wrapper. This will age well, however, it was easy to smoke this right out of the box. People used to the usual Cohibas are in for a very different taste here. Remember, this is the first maduro produced in Cuba sine the Revolution. You can tell that great care and attention has gone into selecting the filler and wrapper. The draw was good. Not excellent. A little loose for my liking. Certainly no draw problems with the construction of this cigar, however, it did have some burn problems. It had difficulty burning evenly. The wrapper was dark but in comparison with some of the EL Cohibas, it is not much darker. Good plumes of aromatic smoke. The Genios does not have a pig-tail as illustrated in the picture to the side. The price will discourage many people from trying this cigar. Perhaps if you're looking for an introduction to Cubans, you'd be better served elsewhere. It's difficult to say at such an early age if this will be a classic, but with another 5 years of age it may start to show its colours. I will look forward to adding more of these cigars to my collection for the long term. In the short term, I will revisit this cigar again to confirm the flavours. - Submitted by cookj1 on July 19, 2007
Review #2: Smoked all the 3 new cigars from Cohiba at the anual havana festival .they all deliver a fine cocoa , peppery taste that dazzles you right to the end . I have to say they have dropped the pig-tails for all of them , to maintain tradition , so, for cigar-reviews.org , please get your facts right please... - Submitted by victor_sabau890 on June 23, 2007
