Review #26: This is Exquisito came from a box of 5 X 5s, box code LLN SEP 04. The one I smoked tonight had a flawless wrapper, with a medium chocolate appearance. A couple of the Exquisitos from this box have had some small green spots, but this one was perfect. Its appearance is not overly impressive—with its small size and thin ring gauge, it looks a bit like a poor cousin next to its Siglo II neighbor in the humidor. The smell before lighting was sweet and reminiscent of cocoa. I popped the cap, and right away this cigar had a rich, sweet, mocha taste. It burned easily, and had a medium, “just right” draw. I have found that a gentle draw is necessary with this cigar to avoid overheating. For the first 2/3 of this cigar, the sweet mocha taste continued without any variation, but in the middle third a bit of toasted nuts and creaminess became evident. This was a medium strength cigar that was well suited to my mood and the time of day. I enjoyed every puff of this little cigar, and just hoped that this great taste would continue. In the final third, I got a bit too immersed in my book and my little friend went out on me. After a relight, I got a bit more of that sweet creamy taste, but that soon faded and I began to get a bit of tunneling, which I corrected—but the magic had gone. I was burning a bit too hot and let this go out with half an inch left. I attribute the fade at the end to poor smoking technique, getting too aggressive after the relight. In summary, this was a perfect cigar for a relaxing smoke—not too strong to serve as a nightcap, and as sweet and rich as a dish of ice cream. - Submitted by Professor Twain on January 31, 2007

Review #25: From a new cab - CLE Jul 02 - A really nice little cigar! I bought this cab at Heathrow today and had the first stick this evening. Lovely aroma before lighting up. After lighting the draw was excelent and the room was filled with a wonderful rich smell. A great taste, mellow with a hit of spice - as review #22 said, classic Cohiba. Also gave a white tube of ash about one and a half inches, very good for a cigar this size. I bought this cab as an every day smoke, perfect! - Submitted by nicedraw on January 7, 2007

Review #24: First Cuban cigar i ever smoked and i must say it was low on taste and seemed alot of money for the smoke, then a few days later i smoked another one and it was FABULOUS,great tastes, not harsh or sharp and almost every draw had a different distinct taste to it(i dont know how to discribe any of them, but they were just perfect) im gonna get some more of them and see, becoming a fan of Cohiba for sure. - Submitted by maatjes123 on January 6, 2007

Review #22: A really nice cigar, with surprising complexity considering the small size. Even with the diminutive dimensions, I managed to keep this one burning for around 40 minutes; much longer than I was expecting, which was something of a mixed blessing when smoking outside in a Canadian winter. The wrapper wasn't terribly attractive, with multiple tears, but the burn was even, and the draw was as perfect as I've had in any cigar. The flavour was classic cohiba, starting with a very nutty beginning, moving into definite flavours of leather and wood. Toward the last third, a nice spicy flavour began to appear. The smoke had a nice, somewhat floral aroma. If not for the price, I'd have to try hard not to smoke one of these beauties every day. - Submitted by agraupe on December 27, 2006
