Review #99:

I am not a big fan of this brand normally. I had the opportunity to try this size mfgd. Aug 05. The wrapper was smooth and silky like a well made cigar should be. from the first draw this was an excellent mild/medium smoke. I don't use the references to leather and coffee as I am not as versed as others. I have been a smoker of fine long filler cigars since 1978. The taste was of a properly aged and maintained cigar. Nice snow white ash very tight and would not breakoff on its own. Excellent draw and a fine spicy taste I don't normally associate with Cohibas. Heavy smoke pleasant to the nose surrounded me as I puffed for appr. 30 minutes. This cigar was excellent from start to finish and burned nice and even all the way to my fingertips. I normally stop smoking a cigar when it gets down to about 50mm. - Submitted by artfuente on September 17, 2006

Review #98:

A good friend pass me a 94 aged cigar and it was great in term of taste and construction. The wrapper was beautiful and taste was rather complex. The first stage give me a taste of green tea but soon follow with coffee and finish with strong leather. One of the best aged cigar I have smoked. - Submitted by pak on September 16, 2006

I have found an older box from 2001 and really enjoy this cigar. It never really developes into a complex three stage smoke as I like, but it is very tasty all the way down to my fingers. I am no afficianado, but I like a good smoke and this is cetainly a pleasure. I have a box from 2004 aging in my humi, and they still need a long time to get to the very tasty stage. This older one displays the Cohiba grassiness as described in Min's book and I have found that to pleasant as well. If you are a lover of a mild cigar which is a perfect compliment to a well aged scotch or burbon, this cigar is a must. All its qualities are subtle, but not overly so. This is perfect for a solo refelective smoke, something to do when no one else is watching. Its mildness also leaves the smoker feeling refreshed, not laden with its flavor for hours after its completion. - Submitted by reidyd1 on August 1, 2006
