Cohiba Esplendidos Review:

What could we say about Julieta from Cohiba? First of all, that the Cuban brand has developed a cigar with all its knowledge. Probably one of the best in this format as well as Sir Winston from H. Upmann. Deep, rich, generous and with a strength that comes to be bigger than it appears at first sight.

Review #199: --- 10 Incredible churchill size cigar. Actually thought I would never award a 10 to a Cohiba cigar, but it finally happened. Silk smooth, loaded with typical cohiba flavours - very complex cedar and honey, with an underlying grassy flavour - perfect draw and construction, hiper elegance, great smoke output... perfection, indeed. - Submitted by Heinrich on November 11, 2023

Review #198: AUG 15 Outstanding cigar. These were a little closed in their flavour when I first got them 3 years ago but now are exceptionally fine cigars. Mild-medium bodied, subtle but rich and complex. Dried grass, cedar, honey and citrus notes, soon developing some herbal and nutty qualities - almond and pine nut. The second and final thirds built to a solid medium body with a touch of coffee and cream and hints of a lovely earthiness and some caramel and peanut in the last two inches. Smoked to half an inch, nearly burning the fingertips before I let it go. - Submitted by A. Dyer on April 15, 2020

Review #196: JUL 15 July-15 box date. Very nice looking cigar. The Cohiba band is not stuck to the cigar so you can spin it around and up/down. The cut unraveled the cap a bit, but nothing major. OK cold draw with some resistance, but not plugged or worried. Easy light, even burn, very faint flavors to start, mellow, smooth, slight hay/grass. Smoke is pleasant, however it's a bit thin vs. thick with gray/charcoal colored ash. 1st ash fell off after a bit over an inch and smoke output increased & smoke density is thicker. Draw is good, resistance, but not too tight, but not a shotgun either, makes me rethink getting the Siglo 4's which is about the same ring gauge as the Esplendido; makes me think I should be looking for a box of Medio Siglo's or Siglo 6's as my next Cohiba box instead of the Siglo 4's. Flavors are still subdued, very light, smooth, not over-powering by any means, super chill/laid-back flavors of grass/hay still. 2nd half of the cigar, smoke output and density both continue to increase slightly with a big more punch in the flavors, but still uber smooth and light, very pleasant. Even burn continues, very well rolled cigar. - Submitted by smitte3 on April 3, 2020

Review #195: Another very nice Cohiba cigar. Perfect cigar, aroma and taste. More than 1 year in the humidor. And now I got Box 25 as a gift. Why not? - Submitted by kml on November 12, 2018
