Review #55:  After aging a box of these little gems in my humidor for a month, I fired one up. Truly a decadent smoke. It has the traditional flavor profile of the Bolivar line. Rich tobacco, leather, and spice flavors that are well balanced. I smoked it down to the nub. It's a good thing that I have long fingernails or else I would have burned my fingers. Review #54: I found that most of the comments expressed here were true. The tobacco was well cured with no hint of ammonia right out of the box. These are mild and very pleasurable, though like many good cigars they get peppery near the end. The Bolivar has a unique taste and I can imagine that either you like it or you hate it. Review #52: I generally smoke Dominicans and this was my first attempt at a Bolivar. My Cuban experience was limited to a few Sancho Panzas and Romeo y Julieta marevas.
Just tried this one yesterday, and took me little more than an hour to 'finish' it. The first half of it was very nice and pleasant, good draw, burns evenly, rich chocolatey taste and hints of cream and caramel, but suddenly the second half was rather unpleasant and I could swear I started tasting burnt rubber and other horribly unpleasant flavours. I gave up somewhere close to the last quarter as it just started getting from bad to worse. Of course this is based on a sample size of 1 and not really a reliable indicator of the quality of these cigars. But for the moment I think I'll stick to my Panzas and Romeos. Review #51: i had some of those marevas out of 2002 box.it was aged well,strong cigar,definately will overpower novice smoker.very woody and spicy.construction is good,burns evenly.the price is fair.recommended for experienced smokers - Submitted by marius on August 27, 2006
