Bolivar Gold Medal Review:
Extremely earthy and strong tobacco taste that outshine the other characteristic flavours of Bolivar cigars. Strength 5/5.

Review #9: This is a very good cigar! All those I have smoked have been great.Taste,is creamy and very smooth, tons of smoke, and great construction. Fantastic,a strong full body cigar with a good price. These will only get better with age.A must for every humidor. - Submitted by Alex on October 14, 2007
Review #8: This was one cigar that took me by surprise. To begin with he packaging is very lovely, a double band one with the casa del habano emblem and a nice gold foil around the top (not shown in this pic). From the first puffs you could already sense the strength of this cigar, how they managed to pack so much strengh into a 42 ring gauge shows the uniqueness of this cigar. I would definitely agree with reviewer 5 on the aromas, some of the most fragrant i've ever come across. the flavours in my opinion are little bit of everything, however no sweetness. If theses cigars taste this good right now, incredible to imagine what they'll be like in a few years time. - Submitted by Gillette on October 12, 2007
Review #7: Wow, what a wondefull cigar. This is devinitivly my No.1. Can`t belive that it can develop because it is already the perfect smoke to me. The most intensiv cigar (exeption RaJ Churchill from1976) I ever had - Submitted by bolibeli on August 23, 2007
Review #6: What a good cigar! This smoke started quite mild, somewhat uncharacteristic of the Bolis I've smoked. The smoke was creamy and smooth, with nice overtones of honey and coffee. Through the middle, it became a bit more strong and ordinary, with mainly flavours of wood. Toward the end, I picked up hints of raisins and cinnamon, combining nicely with the wood. If these cigars continue to improve with age (the guy I buy my cigars from says they've already come a long way in a month), they'll be nothing short of perfection in around a year. The only flaw was a tight draw around the middle of the cigar. - Submitted by agraupe on August 14, 2007
Review #5: I tried a newly released Gold Medal last night. This cigar really needs more age. You can immediately tell it will have a lot to say in a few years. It's still a bit sick and needs some time to mature. The slight ammonia flavours should disappear in a few years. One of the most amazing parts of this cigar right now, is its bouquet. The GM has some amazing aromas; they truly are stunning. The appearance is flawless. The ash is white. Not a stong ash at only one inch before breaking off. There is an immediate earthiness to this cigar but there are herbal, floral, and wood flavours too. There are complex flavours and aromas and they work so well together. It will leave you pondering your experience long afterward. For any cigar connosieur, this should be an essential cigar in your humidor. This will become a classic Habano with age. Rumour has it that 10 years ago these retailed for 4-5 times what they sell for now. - Submitted by cookj1 on July 11, 2007
