Bolivar Gold Medal Review:
Extremely earthy and strong tobacco taste that outshine the other characteristic flavours of Bolivar cigars. Strength 5/5.

Review #14: I was looking for a treat and I believe I may have found it. I bought a box and had to have one of these Gold medals right away... I was not disappointed! I can not wait to see what age will bring to this great cigar. For all those who can handle the strength of a Bolivar cigar, this a must in your humidor! - Submitted by pshamrock on November 7, 2007
Review #13: Smoked a 2007, and based on only stick, I would say this is a real winner. I had some puffs of one original from the 70's and it was more muddled, yet earthy with a soil and ginger profile. These new ones were more nutty and cafe-au-lait flavored. Impeccable construction, and good draw and burn were evident. Will only get better. - Submitted by planetbetter on November 4, 2007
Review #12: I finely got a shipment with 3 boxes of Gold Medals from Switzerland. After few weeks in humidor I decided to try one, nevertheless that is only few months old (LSO JUN 07). So young cigars I usually smoke only in Havana where it’s seems that they are always ready to smoke. And I felt like in Cuba again! This GM was of course too young but what great tobacco. No trace of ammonia or too much harsh taste and room was just full of smoke. For my personal taste there is maybe not enough ligero leaves in blend but on the other side cigar was just perfectly balanced. I will try next one after six months but for others who like young cigars – go for it! - Submitted by Diademo on November 1, 2007
Review #11: Smoked one from the new release. Beautiful wrappers with impeccable construction and draw. Medium bodied smoke and a little harsh at times due to its youth, but a distinct toned down Bolivar flavor profile of earth and wood notes. This should be a great one with time. - Submitted by fabio on October 28, 2007
Review #10: can someone tell how much a minimum of aging these sticks needs? - Submitted by jcharbot on October 15, 2007
