Bolivar Especiales No 2 Review:

This cigar is now discontinued and appeared when the Especiales No 1 were discontinued. Very rare and extremely difficult to find. Its taste can be defined as floral, grassy, earthy or nutty among other tasting notes. Strength 4/5.

Review #4: --- 86 Still quite strong yet smooth...little change throughout...what was there was intense flavourful and all bolivar. yes a once in a lifetime chance to smoke my utmost fantasy cigar. - Submitted by dvickery on April 25, 2013

Review #3: ---   NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE RE-ISSUED GERMAN REGIONAL EDITION, NOT THE ORIGINAL. I hope no one minds... These REs are absolutely AMAZING smokes. I have enjoyed 2 samples so far, and they are some of the BEST smokes I have ever had in my 10 yrs smoking cigars regularly... Sweet, fruity, earthy, toasty, spicy... The list goes on & on. The amazing complexities of these smokes show themselves best when smoked SLOOOWWLLY, so as not to overheat the leaves & release bitter flavors (as with ALL lanceros/panatelas). Do yourself a favor, make some friends in Germany before they run out! I wish they were a bit cheaper though, (around $25-30US/stick) but you fully get what you pay for with these. Unsure of box dates, since I only could afford some singles & a sampler box with 2 of these & 2 of the 5ta Avenida... I will purchase a cabinet (of 25) as SOON as I can though! Perfect construction, easy draw with huge pillows of creamy smoke, flavors as noted above, elegant appearance, with no veinage & a flawless wrapper leaf on all my examples so far (about 7)... Truly a celebratory smoke, as this one will NOT let you down when that special occasion is upon you! Plus, REs are RARE, adding to that 'special-ness"... - Submitted by bimmian on October 1, 2010

Review #2: Smoked a sample dated mid to late 80's. An exceptionally savoury smoke. It amazed me with a glutamine (Umami) spice and dry earthiness - absolutely no sweetness. A once in a lifetime experience - but to console most of you: Smoking one of these readily available '99 Coronas Extras today will give you a very rough idea of how these might have tasted. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on July 10, 2009
